Egyptian fraction arithmetic appeared in the Middle Kingdom. After 2,000 BCE the Akhmim Wooden Tablet, the Reisner Papyrus, EMLR and RMP used the same remainder arithmetic. Egyptian division was inverse to Egyptian multiplication. Egyptian fraction weights and measures units methods diffused to Greek, Hellene, Coptic, Arabs and medieval eras.
