Mamoom's Moments: When You Least Expect It
http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2009/09/when-you-least-expect-it.html
Sunday, September 20, 2009. When You Least Expect It. If it was a need, we would get it. If it was a want, we didn't. Last Christmas there was very little under the tree compared to previous years. We could not justify spending money we might need to live on later. For Mother's Day this year, Christie gave me Hilary Weeks CD, If I Only Had Today. Let me share with you part of the lyrics. The song is called, "When You Least Expect It.". I've quit counting the hours I've prayed for answers,. Subscribe to: ...

Mamoom's Moments: What Makes You Beautiful
http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2012/07/what-makes-you-beautiful.html
Saturday, July 7, 2012. What Makes You Beautiful. In just over a week, I'm heading off to Young Women camp. I went three years as a young women and this will be my 12th (and possible final year) as an adult. Young Women camp is a wonderful experience! Testimonies are developed and strengthened, friendships are deepened, and you can't help feel the love of our Heavenly Father as you enjoy the beautiful world He has created for us. If only we received more messages like this in our life. Two hundred and fi...

Mamoom's Moments: New!
http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2011/01/new.html
Monday, January 24, 2011. Ron and I attended a convert baptism Saturday afternoon for a 17 year old young man. His mother had been baptized three months earlier in the Central Valley. He attended her baptism and was so touched, that when he returned to the Bay Area where he lives with his father, he asked to meet with the missionaries. What happened next surprised all of us. Robert spontaneously got up and shared HIS testimony. Smiling broadly he said something like this:. I feel so good! I am sure I was...

http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2012/06/first-jobs.html
Wednesday, June 20, 2012. When I was 18 years old, Tom, a man in my ward told me about a job opening at the supermarket he worked at. He was a school teacher by day and supplemented his income by working as a cashier at night. I don't know how he did it. Loralee, the bakery department has an opening. Go and apply.". A few days later, Tom asked me how it went. I told him that there wasn't an opening. Oh, there's an opening. Go again. Tell the manager I sent you.". Emily is now 18 years old and she's had h...

Mamoom's Moments: Thank You for Being Jesus' Friend
http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2011/03/thank-you-for-being-jesus-friend.html
Friday, March 11, 2011. Thank You for Being Jesus' Friend. I have always heard that the temple is the House of the Lord," the teenager said, "But today was the first time that I could feel it was Heavenly Father's house." She paused and added, "Thank you," she gestured to the temple worker and those standing nearby, "for being Jesus' friend.". A few minutes later, I saw her mother alone. I greeted her and asked, "Is your daughter getting married today? She smiled and said yes. She agreed and then said, "...

Mamoom's Moments: Tender Mercies
http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2014/10/tender-mercies.html
Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Yesterday I helped the sister missionaries in our ward teach. Investigator and her daughter who was baptized a couple of weeks ago about the wonderful messages found in the Book of Mormon. We read a few verses in 1 Nephi 1 and concluded with this verse:. But behold, I Nephi will show unto you that the tender merices of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith to make them mighty even unto the power of deliverance.". That was one tender mercy!

Mamoom's Moments: It's Treat Day!
http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2009/09/its-treat-day.html
Tuesday, September 29, 2009. When Emily was young. She was very active. It wasn't unusual to find her climbing up the side of the refrigerator to see what was on top. It wasn't unusual for her to climb out of her crib when she was supposed to be taking a nap. And it wasn't unusual for her to disappear when we went shopping. I would place her. To her the importance of staying by my side. I would plead with her to stay in the cart. I would beg her not to run away. But, she did not listen. Wednesday has bee...

Mamoom's Moments: Dolphins, Pelicans, and Seagulls...Oh My!
http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2014/09/dolphins-pelicans-and-seagullsoh-my.html
Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Dolphins, Pelicans, and Seagulls.Oh My! A few weeks ago. Utah Sisters were in town for a visit. Because they live far,. Away from the beach, they thought it would be a splendid idea to make a trip to the Pacific Ocean and enjoy the waves and the sand. It was cold and somewhat foggy when we arrived but we enjoyed watching the seagulls and pelicans fishing for lunch and eventually saw a small pod of dolphins frolicking in the waves. Good times at the beach! Barbara exclaimed...

Mamoom's Moments: A Cedar Cove Christmas
http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2010/12/cedar-cove-christmas.html
Wednesday, December 8, 2010. A Cedar Cove Christmas. A Cedar Cove Christmas. My rating: 3 of 5 stars. I love Debbie Macomber books. A recent Hallmark movie based on one of her Christmas books inspired me to go to the library and look for another one of her Christmas stories. Although this one was enjoyable, I probably would have enjoyed it more if I was familiar with the Cedar Cover characters. I have not yet read this particular series. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Best of Mamoom's Moments. Ron a...
