Sea Green: February 2004
http://seagreen.blogspot.com/2004_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 26, 2004. It all happened yesterday. We were in the hospital from about 11 and all nervous as hell. Mum got wheeled away for a spinal block and then Steve joined her and for the next 2 hours Heather (god mother) and I nail bit and paced. Well, read our books, watched bad TV and drank coffee, but same thing. Then Steve came in to say it was all OK (boy did he look shaken and pale! B is for baby, is for brother, is for beginnings. Sea Green: a fresh year just out of its wrapper
http://seagreen.blogspot.com/2011/01/fresh-year-just-out-of-its-wrapper.html
Sunday, January 23, 2011. A fresh year just out of its wrapper. Welcome to 2011. I suppose you've already met it? Shy fellow, doesn't talk much, but will probably get going as the evening wears on. New Year for me has been about homes, and holidays, work, and crafty projects. Home, in that I'm buying a house! And doing it with someone who cares about you and who is practical, stable, good with money and who you trust helps. Does anyone other than me walk anywhere? And why do I think this is? Facing anoth...

Sea Green: talk? done.
http://seagreen.blogspot.com/2010/10/talk-done.html
Friday, October 29, 2010. And despite this hyper awareness of the thing I’m doing (let’s face it, probably because of it), I still manage to botch it a bit. I am my own worst conference nightmare. I accidentally become everything I absolutely know that presenters shouldn’t be intangible, theoretical, esoteric. I have a boring power point presentation and botch the pictures (where did they go? The food is fresh and delicious. There is pine nut tea. The city is safe. Posted by J @ 10:50 pm. And if you dont...

Sea Green: a space
http://seagreen.blogspot.com/2011/06/space.html
Monday, June 13, 2011. Golly blogger is so forgiving isn't it? Holding a space in - well, space - for you to think in, write in, share in. Today is a quietish, coldish kind of a day. A scamper to the toilet because you've drunk too much tea kind of a day. A 'can't I just knit on the sofa? Kind of a day. A soup and stewed fruit kind of a day. And it's a long weekend (which doesn't mean much to me because I don't work Mondays), but still, the idea is nice. Getting ready to do my tax. Doing my [weight loss ...

Sea Green: April 2005
http://seagreen.blogspot.com/2005_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 15, 2005. I am sitting here at my local video store nibbling peanuts (balsamic vinegar flavoured! Out of the palm of my hand like some epicurian horse, tip tappy typing away like an absolute nerd - after all it's Friday night and who sits at their video store doing their emails? Bitchy and out of touch with Aussie battler parents. And who am I to critique right? I wasn't even responsible enough to be a cat mum and gave mine up for adoption! No other news to report (why would there be? Me: "...

Sea Green: August 2004
http://seagreen.blogspot.com/2004_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 28, 2004. Well Finn, it. Me to say this, and I know this wont be easy news for you to hear, but Augustine has had another one of her turns. I think you ought to know - she's having a dreadfully heavy period". But no, it can't be true. Oh Lord why have you chosen her? She who wouldn't pull the tail off a lamb! She who would never even spit on a choir boy! You weren't to know! Posted by J @ 11:49 pm. Thursday, August 26, 2004. Oh no - I'm complaining right? Who complain with a calm and dig...

Sea Green: April 2004

Friday, April 30, 2004. Compartment life - getting my head 'round high rise. Anyway it was very happy with lawn and I wasn't caught out by its owners, which is a good thing as I'm not sure that I could have explained my intentions properly in Cantonese. The (that is our) maid was in this morning - all my clothes will be folded when I get home tonight. I'm hoping she'll iron too, is that wrong? Posted by J @ 5:55 pm. Sunday, April 25, 2004. PS HUGE storm just rolled in. It's the tropics! Fun in a bun.
