Pennsic Camp and Volund. Submitted by Aonghus on Wed, 01/17/2007 - 8:29am. Here is a view through the gate of our camp in the bog at Pennsic. And who should we see enjoying the atmoshpere but good ole Volund. I think he was actually brushing his teeth. Incedentaly, the gate banner was painted by Máinlia. Undated, dawn of time. Comyn colorized the tiny image for use on the front page some strange reason. Also, he doesnt have the original copy (which appears to have been Falgons). Clann Law and Policy.

Submitted by Comyn on Sat, 12/16/2006 - 8:01am. 1) The Ard-Draoi will keep the calendar of the clan. 2) The calendar starts and ends at Samhain. 3) The events will be planned to be on or around the following dates, subject to availability:. Samhain- weekend nearest to October 31. Imbolc- first Saturday in February. Beltaine- first weekend in May. Lughnasad- first weekend in August. 4) The meeting will be planned to be on or around the following dates, subject to convenience.

It is at this time that we Celts honor our ancestors and invite them into our homes and put out a plate of food at our feast table for them. At the same time we are careful to ward off harmful spirits. Our bonfire is a central feature of the event. We cook over the open flame and tell tales and sing songs around it - there are many musicians in our Clann! Start of the year?

Imbolc is our only indoor event, which is fitting because in the northern hemisphere, this is the coldest time of the year and the Clann would likely be huddled together indoors around the hearth. The word Imbolc derives from the old Irish i mbolg "in the belly", probably referring to the pregnancy of ewes. The lactation of the ewes. What do we do at the event?
