How I made lino printed cute Owl softies. June 4, 2015. August 9, 2015. It all started with a drawing WeeBeastieBoy did on the wall a few years ago. Before the wall was painted I took a photograph and ended up making it into a lino print. See the process here WOL Lino Prints. This was my table one morning after school drop off in the 20 mins I had before I had to leave for work. Talk about multi purpose! I used some scrap material to test the print before I printed on the ‘good’ material. I think he̵...

Leather activity tracker necklace

Leather activity tracker necklace. Today I made a bracelet and necklace for wearing my new Amazfit moon frost fitness activity tracker using some scraps of leather from Reverse Garbage. I cut a roughly 5mm strip from the scraps using scissors (strips can be cut in a spiral to make the most of a small scrap, or by cutting next to the edge of a longer scrap). I cut two strips from a long thin scrap of blue leather and fashioned the bracelet using 4 strand braiding. From a wooden bead base.

Less time with paperwork more time with children. You're Custom Text Here. A Robot's Can-Do Attitude Rubs Off On Children. March 7, 2017. According to Timothy Revell's recent article in New Scientist, a robot's can-do attitude might be able to rub off on children. Timothy writes "It seems that children's behaviour can be influenced by the personality of a robot companion - playing with an enthusiastic or attentive robot, for instance, makes them engage more and work harder.". It is hard to tell what the ...

Linda Robertus: Upcycled cushion
http://lindarobertus.blogspot.com/2015/05/upcycled-cushion.html
Saturday, 2 May 2015. Yesterday was an extremely wet day here in Brisbane. I was lucky to be able to stay at home for most of the day and play with fabric. In a corner of my sewing room I found this upholstery fabric sample book that I bought at Reverse Garbage. Years ago and with it I made a patchwork cushion. The fabric is a faux suede, so the cushion is very soft. I spend quite a bit of time cutting them up in small pieces:. I have a few more sample books, so may make some more cushions! Proud to be an.
