Jewish Weddings in Reading and Berkshire. Whilst the Reading area is not the biggest Jewish community in the UK, there is a beautiful Synagogue, a Grade 2 listed building that provides a fantastic backdrop to any Jewish Wedding and has a strong history. At least one Jewish family living in the area of Reading in Berkshire has been traced back as far as 1842. Eventually the group grew to 13 families, who declared themselves a community in 1886. The opening of the Synagogue dates back all the way to 1900.
