The Accidental Quilter: October 2014
http://theaccidentalquilter.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, 3 October 2014. I am sharing a little quilt today. It was made for a dear friend, Linda. It is her special day soon, and I wanted to send something made just for her. I let my imagination run wild and am very pleased with the outcome. Shoes are a shared love, and this was a perfect way to show it. Traupunto on the shoes, so that it sits out nicely from the whimsically. I had such fun with this. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. What people are reading! The Accidental Quilter: March 2014
http://theaccidentalquilter.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 26 March 2014. I didn’t finish the quilt today, but I did do another pass. Large hearts in the top and bottom borders. I am becoming more comfortable making the feathers. Yay for me, and embracing my fears! Linking up with WIP Wednesday. Tuesday, 25 March 2014. Some show and tell. Is it really almost the end of March? Where has this year gone? I have been very quiet here on the blog. Life has been getting in the way of quilting … but there is change in the air. A heart motif for the border.

The Accidental Quilter: July 2014
http://theaccidentalquilter.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 16 July 2014. Where has the year gone? It is the middle of July already! Life just has a way of getting in, and the quilting sometimes has to wait. I do have a mini quilt to share. I wanted to try something a little different, and used black sharpee pen to mark the white backing fabric with the initials. I then let loose with the free motion quilting. I quilted pebbles, swirls, echoes and half feathers, all freehand on the longarm. A quick finish, Yay! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This baby qui...

The Accidental Quilter: February 2014
http://theaccidentalquilter.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 20 February 2014. This summer has seen my Hoya plants flourish like never before. My Hoya fungii, has produced 11 seed pods over the summer. I managed to catch all but the first – of which I gathered approx 30 from around the plant. My Hoya obovata also put out a single seed pod. Using my method of enclosing the seed pod, on the plant, within a sockette. It has proven to be a wonderfully easy way of collecting the seeds. I also gained a Hoya densifolia for my collection. I used a variegated thr...

The Accidental Quilter: Name Quilt
http://theaccidentalquilter.blogspot.com/2015/07/name-quilt.html
Tuesday, 28 July 2015. Thread troubles today had me walking away from the machine. Instead, I stitched down the final 5 inches of binding, while waiting in the car at school pick up. A name quilt to add to my collection of mini quilts. The idea came to me as I was finishing another quilt, so I put it together quickly. Heat and bond, stuck the letters down, but I didn't want the look of stitching around the letters. To keep the edges down I used a piece of tulle layed over the top. Glad to have this done!

The Accidental Quilter: May 2014
http://theaccidentalquilter.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, 10 May 2014. A special baby quilt. I have been quiet on the blog of late. Life is busy around here as usual. I do have a beautiful quilt to share. A new baby always creates such excitement. With gender unknown, the brief was to fit with the nursery. I suggested a few things, and got started. A simple pattern, by Suzie Fry. These are lovely weight fabrics, with gorgeous prints of trams, bikes, birds, trees and boats. This really frames the fabrics and lets them shine. Linking up with TGIFF.

Stardust Quilting: July 2015
http://stardustquilting.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 20, 2015. A kick starter.self binding receiving blankets. Boy am I behind in my posts. I cannot believe it. I started this post July 20th more than a month ago. Seems like I have been swamped, preparing wedding quilt signature blocks, visiting, piecing several of my projects on the go, worrying about my hubby's hip, and worrying about oil prices. At one point I felt so disjointed that I just had to do a little project to kick start me.a quick win so to speak! Or both.I am wiped! Immersion dy...
