We Gotta Have Faith: Dear Faith,
http://wegottahavefaith.blogspot.com/2010/11/dear-faith.html
We Gotta Have Faith. Cause sometimes it gets crazy around here! Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Well, Sugar Britches, we made it through the first year. There were times I wondered whether or not we would. November 17, 2009 changed our lives forever. You have been put through the ringer over the past 12 months, but you've handled it like such a trooper. Your daddy and I couldn't be prouder of you! You will go easy on me - that's going to be an interesting transition for both of us! November 17, 2010 at 4:5...

We Gotta Have Faith. Cause sometimes it gets crazy around here! Wednesday, June 30, 2010. I can’t make this stuff up, folks…. Well, we’ve had another first…. Ok, so our central air went out. No worries, we have window units and we’re staying perfectly comfortable. But, because of this we have a large fan in the doorway of the boys’ room blowing the cool air throughout the rest of the house. It is perfectly safe.little fingers can't get in it or anything, but. Everyone is fine though. Links to this post.

We Gotta Have Faith: October 2011

We Gotta Have Faith. Cause sometimes it gets crazy around here! Friday, October 28, 2011. Can I Just Share My Heart for a Minute? If you know me in real life, you've probably noticed my reflect-o-legs. Some might refer to it as being fair-skinned, but I think "reflect-o-legs" more accurately describes what I've got going on here. Try as I may for that summer glow (and truthfully I don't even try anymore), burn and peel is all I know. Turned into a few hours. This week I feel like I'm one big sunburn.

We Gotta Have Faith. Cause sometimes it gets crazy around here! Wednesday, October 20, 2010. These are the roughest days. Most days I get so caught up in the hourly, sometimes minute by minute, challenge of managing Faith's diabetes that I really don't stop to dwell on the "what-if's". That really is a blessing. There are too many "what-if's" and none of them are good. Today, however, there was no getting away from those scary thoughts that I try to keep pushed to the back of my mind. Y'all pray for the ...

We Gotta Have Faith: February 2011
http://wegottahavefaith.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
We Gotta Have Faith. Cause sometimes it gets crazy around here! Wednesday, February 9, 2011. I hate these words and the fact that when it comes to diabetes I often can't respect them, when Faith is screaming for me to stop. We are having a major "I hate diabetes" day around here.and of course it happens on the day that I have to change her pump. Normally Faith is a trooper and will lay down still and quiet while I insert her pump. Me: "Faith, where do you want your pump today? Faith: "In the couch.".

We Gotta Have Faith. Cause sometimes it gets crazy around here! Sunday, June 19, 2011. Too big for her britches. Today at supper time Ruby alerted. Faith took it upon herself to grab her meter and check herself. Thank goodness I had my phone handy to capture the first time Faith has done it herself from start to finish. Here's the bittersweet moment. How can she be this grown up at 29 months old? Links to this post. Checking her blood sugar. Saturday, June 18, 2011. UghWhat fun we're having. So, try to b...

We Gotta Have Faith: January 2011

We Gotta Have Faith. Cause sometimes it gets crazy around here! Thursday, January 27, 2011. Just an ordinary medicine cup, but take a look inside. Looks pretty innocuous, right? This drop, this tiny drop, is 15 units of insulin. Two days worth for Faith. If withheld, it could make Faith sick enough to kill her. If given all at once it would. No pressure, right? Insulin is not administered from a medicine cup. It must be given subcutaneously. This is just an illustration. Links to this post. My husband's ...

We Gotta Have Faith: May 2011
http://wegottahavefaith.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
We Gotta Have Faith. Cause sometimes it gets crazy around here! Saturday, May 7, 2011. Whenever my little kids refer to something that is filled they say it's "full up". That's how I feel lately. I've spent the past three weekends surrounded by hundreds of people that don't know anything about Faith and Ruby. This has provided me with MANY opportunities to educate about service dogs and diabetes, but most importantly it's allowed me to share all that God has done in our lives in the past year or so.
