http://fieldsfam5.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts. Thursday, October 28, 2010. There are times when it seems like I hit a wall. when nothing makes sense and I have no answers. It is a time when I pray for guidance and I get the same answer."trust your instincts". nothing more and nothing less. Attempt #1 to deal with this.just try to get through it. Sometimes that involves pretending that this is normal even when I know better. I hate being right sometimes. Posted by M...

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts. Monday, November 30, 2009. The holidays and cars don't seem to mix in our house. A few days before Thanksgiving I had a run in with a deer. It completely messed up my car. How much more can my poor Mazda endure.I think I should not ask that question. We wanted to go home to VA and at the last minute we found a van to rent so we could all go together. Look at these happy faces! They were loving this ride. Our trip came ...

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts. Wednesday, February 24, 2010. When challenges come up in my life, I often find myself finding ways to measure time. Right now, I am measuring time by my calendar and the doctor appointments that fill my week. I can't help but do this. Madilyn is scheduled to have surgery on March 15th. It is like the end of a race for us. We mark off days until we will arrive at our destination. Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts. Tuesday, January 11, 2011. The house is quiet this morning. I did not make it to work again last night. The Fowkes Family: November 2008
http://thefowkesfamily.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 6, 2008. For the most part we use this blog as a "what we've been up to" for friends and family. But I've noticed that every now and then, our own friends and family use their blogs to express their ideas and (dare I say it? Agendas. . . so here I go. . This shouldn't surprise anybody, but we are thrilled. I've been to big rock concerts (as in U2 and Pink Floyd) and football games with just as many people and it wasn't the same - not even close (sorry, LSU fans)! I promise, we'll stick...

The Fowkes Family: Baby Eleanor Has Arrived!
http://thefowkesfamily.blogspot.com/2009/04/baby-eleanor-has-arrived.html
Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Baby Eleanor Has Arrived! Eleanor Renee Fowkes was born on Sunday, April 5 at 12:59pm. She weighed 10lbs 11oz and was 22 3/4 inches long. It was a very fast delivery - we arrived at the Birth Center at 10am and three hours later she was here! As many of you know, we had planned another homebirth, but Becky's Mom was already here and it made a lot more sense to let her stay home with our kids rather than kick them all out for who knew how long! It was a fantastic day! I am glad e...
