Life at the moment. Thursday, July 26, 2012. Day 14 was intended to be a morning at the beach swimming and then an afternoon on a whale watching tour boat before catching a train back to Beitou. Nothing happened quite as we planned. We got to the beach with swim suits on to discover no one swims at the beach. In fact, there are signs that say no swimming allowed, and for good reason too. Life at the moment. Thursday, May 23, 2013. On Friday May 10th at 9:10 pm our flight took off and we arrived five hours later at 6:00 am in Iceland. Over all the flight was pretty good. except for the crazy heartburn I experienced throughout the first three hours of it! The newer of the two lighthouses and a little museum that was closed. cause it was only 7am. The older of the two lighthouses. Wow do they know something we don't about baking good bread! Here is a little canyon that is proof that Iceland...

Life at the moment. Friday, July 19, 2013. Fair Havens 2013: Lawn Bowling. I had the privilege this summer of joining in on a long tradition of the Hawkins family gathering at Fair Havens. Although it had been some time since the whole Hawkins family had gathered at Fair Havens (there was some debate on how long exactly, ranging from 9-14 years) but never the less, this summer everyone (except Shannon of course who's still in Australia becoming a doctor) returned for a week of fun.
