We continued to walk through the cemetery and came across the grave of the first person to ever be buried there. The date said that it was from the 1700s! Then we walked to the Iwo Jima statue. I made this recipe for our Couple's Bible Study, and it is VERY easy and good! 1 c uncooked couscous. 1 1/2 c. chicken broth. 3 T olive (I used grapeseed) oil. 2 T lime juice. 1 t red wine vinegar. 8 green onions chopped (I only used 4). 1 T finely diced cilantro. 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped (I didn't include). 1 c frozen corn thawed. 2 cans black beans.

Monday, July 27, 2009. This past weekend we attended the Bountiful Handcart Day's parade and fair. Belle had fun riding the ponies and other carnival rides. Alison and Rich ran Handcart Day's 5k. Rich finished 3rd and Alison finished 5th in the 25-30 year old male bracket. We don't know why Ali was put into the male bracket but she did fine and would have finished 3rd in the women's. Emmy is growing up so fast, she enjoys playing with Belle and is very easy going. Rich, Ali, Belle and Emmy. Fun in the sun.
