Wednesday, April 21, 2010. The Raleigh Shimmer Wall. So, I ended up in downtown Raleigh last night and one of the things that I always wanted to do was to "shoot" the Raleigh Shimmer Wall. This wall is located on the back-side of the new Raleigh Convention Center - this is a 20 second exposure and I had to wait several minutes to get this shot without any cars in the shot. Man it was a great deal of fun and I learned a bunch. Here is one of the shots that I took - the model's name is Candi - and she was a real trooper - here she was in a garage filled with 25 photographers - what a deal. Saturday, May 23, 2009. Triangle Strobist Meetup for May. For our May meetup we headed out to Greensboro and shot in Bokeh Joe's dry cleaners. We had a great time and Joe was the greatest host - pizza and lens for everyone - not really - just the pizza. Anyway, I had a chance to use his 85 mm 1.2 L lens - WOW what a lens - with a 1.2 you could shoot in a closet. Here are some of my shots from that shoot. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Saturday, January 3, 2009. This picture was taken in the attic - this is pretty much how it came out of the camera - I did kick up the saturation level a tad - but that was about it. After we spent a good couple of hours looking at the house - we found - what might have been the family cemetery behind the house. It looked like one of the tombstones had been knocked over. We were still able to read who was buried in this area. All in all - it was a pretty good day - I'll be going back. Other Blogs I follow.

Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Photo Shoot in Las Vegas. So, I was hired to be the "event" photographer for the Townie's dental convention in Las Vegas the week of April 14th. The convention was held at the Rio (we've been there before) - and by all accounts - it was another great success. My job was to take pictures of the speakers as well as random shots as things were happening. it was a good time and I will have photos up shortly. It was a great time. Sunday, April 13, 2008.
