The client came to me wanting a sunflower ring and we came up with this design, which is in 18ct white and yellow gold with a ruby and 12 diamonds. The shank is in a different coloured gold to separate it from the petals, and I simplified the leaves, taking away the jagged edges and veins so that the band doesn’t look over complicated.
