My Story: God’s Hand in All. Click to go to:. Was born in Decatur, Illinois, on January 9, 1954, to Thaddeus and Elsie Porowski. I am told it was about zero degrees Fahrenheit and very windy. My dad was a chemist at the time, and my mom a housewife busy with my two older sisters Anne, born in 1950, and Irene, born in 1952. Our family never had too much money when I was growing up. Because of this and other pressures in our family we lived sometimes with joy and often with heartache. My dad was born in Chi.

Our Trip to Santa Barbara, California. Click on a photo for a larger view! In January, 2009 Kathy and I took a weekend break in a city on the coast of California not too far north of Los Angeles. It is one of the cities that began around an early mission set up by Spanish Catholic priests in many places in California. It is a beautiful place somewhat set apart from the busy-ness of Southern California city life. We recommend it as a place to see and enjoy!

I have a friend in Thailand named Bua who has been an inspiration to me to pick up my paint brush again and focus on some new areas of challenge. We have worked on the same subject matter, interpreting the subject in our own style and learning from each other's work. She named this painting Venice, of Course! A bit of a mess. Aintings done in 2009.

Goodbye once again to California, and hello to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia! Now I am in Mongolia once again, spending time catching up on paperwork, going in to the office each day, and spending time with friends and our church. Great to be in California. Now great to be in Ulaanbaatar. Each step is guided by God. Wonderful! First are photos of time with family in San Diego.

And I have decided to talk more long walks for exercise and to see new parts of the city. I have a bunch of photos here of typical views. The temperature hovers around -15 to 0F (-25 to -18C) during the day. Not bad when the wind is still but can feel cold on the face even if there is a slight breeze. Take a look at the photos :). And good to take some walks around the city. Our LEI English summer classes are going well. Smooth sailing :). A little unreality haha. Bernard, Hazel and Kathy. We have a buyer and it looks like all will work out just fine, thanks to the Lord who helps us in everything both small and big! We also went to a beach party for two young people in the church, Asher and Jerusa graduated from high school. We're so proud of them. Here is Team Noel! Noel is in the yellow to the right.

Welcome to my website! In April, 2011 Kathy and I moved to Mongolia. There were many reasons for our move, but the main reason was the fact that God was leading us to move here. It has been a good move for us, despite the big changes! Christy now lives in Ohio with her husband Eric and their little daughter Audrey. Kim recently graduated with a doctors degree in physical therapy from Emory University in Atlanta. She and Lenny Vu got married in June, 2013 and now live in California. And I had in Mongolia!
