HCI 2 Project Blog: HCI at PC World

http://www.richardwhite.blogspot.com/2006/02/hci-at-pc-world.html

HCI 2 Project Blog. This blog is for our HCI project, which is mainly about designing a new and innovative product. Wednesday, February 22, 2006. HCI at PC World. Richard and I managed to spend about half an hour at PC world today, just browsing stuff. We came across a few interesting products which I'll blog about from a HCI perspective. 1) You can see your reflection in them and that would annoy me a lot whilst I was working. However, I must admit, the quality of the display looks absolutely amazing.

HCI 2 Project Blog: Evaluation of User Feedback

HCI 2 Project Blog. This blog is for our HCI project, which is mainly about designing a new and innovative product. Wednesday, March 15, 2006. Evaluation of User Feedback. Contributors: Richard, Femma and Sven. As can be seen from our blog posts regarding the design of the main screen, we spent a great deal of time and consideration on it. This has clearly paid off when one looks at the results of the question 'Suppose you are on route, how useful is the information provided on the main menu screen?

Some time ago while reading the BBC new website I found a story. After looking at what they have achieved and the images they have produced of the finished product, I feel that a similar device could be used for our project. Instead of having either a talking voice or a display on the arm, we could use these glasses and superimp...

HCI 2 Project Blog. This blog is for our HCI project, which is mainly about designing a new and innovative product. Thursday, March 09, 2006. Project - Refined Prototype. Contributors: Femma, Richard and Sven. We have refined our prototype. Femma's Tech Blog: Paths and Complexities

http://femmastech.blogspot.com/2011/02/paths-and-complexities.html

Sunday, 6 February 2011. I am currently working on a project where we have to replicate the system in it's entirety into a newly defined architecture. Last week I was asked to work on a particular feature, having gone through this feature on the existing system I found it to be horrendous and I am not looking forward to replicating it. Whatever happened to simplicity and elegance? I know the 3 click rule is seen as a bit of a UX myth but in this instance, I think it would be quite effective! Make your Sp...

Femma's Tech Blog: August 2010

Saturday, 21 August 2010. Natural Balance Foods Website. As I'm on a bit of a health food obsession at the moment, I went onto the Natural Balance Foods website and presented with the website I think overall it is pretty good. The background image doesn't interfere with the text or the information. The menus and options are clear and the user experience is generally good as you are able to find all the information you need:. This really threw me. Other than those 2 issues I quite like the web site :).

Wednesday, 29 July 2009. The lifts in the Radisson are very poorly designed. They may appear to be cool because you pick what floor you want to go to from the outside and it indicates a designated lift for your floor. As a result you're a bit restricted.
