Our family European adventure
Vatican | richoadventure
https://richoadventure.wordpress.com/2014/01/07/vatican
Our family European adventure. January 7, 2014. Today we visited the Vatican Museums. A very extensive collection of Egyptian artefacts, heaps of marble statues of all ages, maps and we didn’t even make it to any old books or any paintings. It is kind of mind boggling that there is stuff there over 3000 years old. I was impressed just with the floors and ceilings! This entry was posted in Uncategorized. January 9, 2014 at 12:29 am. Our family European adventure. Rome cooking class →. January 5, 2014. The town is mostly shut down in winter (plus it was a Sunday) so things were very quiet. Then we finished the Amalfi coast at Salerno and joined the highway back to Naples. From there a short 1 hr train trip to Rome (our very last train! At Rome we had to catch a metro and then short walk to the apartment (would have been even shorter if I had sent us in the right direction – I hate arriving to new places in the dark! Our family European adventure. Florence to Pompei →. January 2, 2014. With a short stopover, today was our only full day in Florence. After breakfast in the apartment we headed straight for the cathedral and climbed up the bell tower. This offered a fantastic view of the main dome, although was a tough climb. I love the view over Florence – the terracotta coloured roofs are so distinctive. Inside the cathedral was fairly plain (as far as these things go of course! Plus a wallet each for Chris and I.

Our family European adventure. Amalfi Coast →. January 4, 2014. And spend a whole day. It is also amazing to me that there can be colour on the walls surviving 2000 years. They painted onto wet plaster so the colour actually dried into the plaster rather than just sitting on top. Also fascinating were the body casts, complete with some actual bone. The people covering their faces are very sad, as was the dog twisting to escape its chain. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Amalfi Coast →.

My adventure in Europe. Today we got our breakfast in bed. Daddy brought us some croissants back after his walk. YAY! Munich Day 4- Salzburg. The panorama Aunty Erin made of the view at the top. Then we took a Cable Car back down and waited for the bus. The new driver opened the bus with a button hidden on the bus, so if needed I know how to hack in to an Austrian bus. We headed into town for our lunch and to have a little look at Mozart’s Birthplace. Sophie and I at Mozart’s Birthplace. Me in the snow.

1 February, 2015. For two months I lived in a suburb called Seven Sisters. It is a fairly dodgy looking kind of area. I liked it a lot. It seemed like an area just about ready for gentrification. On the third day (sensing a pattern here? On the Saturday of the same, Barlen gave me a note declaring that I had one month to vacate the flat. I was pretty happy with this as by this time interacting with Barlen made me quite tense. I wrote a response letter listing what day I would leave and explaining...This ...
