Mad, Bad, and Dangerous to Know: February 2013
http://sandibjones.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 14, 2013. A Very "Romantic" Valentine's Day. I'm in love with this! The Cure's musical rendition of the romantic Adonais. By Percy Shelley. One of the poet's personal favorites, it was written as an elegy upon the death of Shelley's friend, John Keats. Mary Shelley kept a copy of Adonais. In her desk until her dying day. When the folded poem was discovered there, they opened it and found her late husband's ashes within. Okay, it's a little morbid, but oh so Romantic! I Heart YA Blog.

Mad, Bad, and Dangerous to Know: Literary Road Trip
http://sandibjones.blogspot.com/2014/06/literary-road-trip.html
Monday, June 23, 2014. Have you ever traveled to a destination simply because you read about it in a novel? The hubs and I just celebrated our wedding anniversary, and I chose the destination for our celebration. I've been all over the South visiting places I've read about. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Savannah, Georgia- been there. The Water is Wide. Beaufort, South Carolina- been there. Interview with a Vampire. New Orleans- been there. The Gold Bug. So where hadn't I been? When the creatur...

Mad, Bad, and Dangerous to Know: The Legend of the Gray Man: Web-find Wednesday
http://sandibjones.blogspot.com/2014/07/the-legend-of-gray-man-web-find.html
Wednesday, July 16, 2014. The Legend of the Gray Man: Web-find Wednesday. The South Carolina and Georgia Sea Islands are known for their stories of shipwrecks, pirates, and haunted plantations. Seriously, the area seems to emote a haunting presence to me, and I can't help the feeling I'm not alone as I walk through the ruins of old Low Country cemeteries, mansions, and slave quarters. This week's Web-find is The Gray Man, also known as the Pawley's Island Ghost. Video: The Legend of The Gray Man (8:53min).

Mrs Sanders' Favorite Reads 2013 - 2014. Sunday, September 1, 2013. Just One Day, by Gayle Forman (2013). What if Shakespeare had it wrong? Allyson Healy has just graduated from high school. Her life is planned and organized so that she'll begin college in the fall and study pre-med. Her parents gave her a three-week "adventure" in Europe as a high school graduation present. Every minute of the trip was organized, planned, and prepped. Until Allyson met Willem. What do you say? You want to go to Paris?

Mrs. Sanders' Favorite Reads 2013 - 2014: Cinder, by Marissa Meyer (2012)
http://mrssandersfavoritereads2013.blogspot.com/2013/10/cinder-by-marissa-meyer.html
Mrs Sanders' Favorite Reads 2013 - 2014. Sunday, October 13, 2013. Cinder, by Marissa Meyer (2012). The screw through Cinder's ankle had rusted, the engraved cross marks worn to a mangled circle. Few people know that Cinder is a cyborg, part human, part robot. Cinder was an 11-year old orphan when her father brought her home from Europe. Much to Cinder's step-mother's dismay, cyborgs are considered second class citizens. To check this read out at NOLS, click HERE! Just One Day, by Gayle Forman (2013).
