Lifeboat Trouble, Probably 1958 - Memories of Redcar. I'm not sure how it happened, but the lifeboat trailer slipped off the side of Lifeboat Bank in bad weather and became bogged down in the sand. Left overnight, it sunk further and had to be recovered using mechanical diggers.
