Monday, 21 May 2012. Right here goes again. On my last blog I reported on a lovely meal at the Cross Keys Turnditch. This was to celebate my Mums birthday. Then on Saturday I got all the family together for a surprise buffet lunch for her. Many people will sympathise with the problem of trying to get grown up children in the same place at the same time. Friday, 18 May 2012. Wednesday 16 May 2012. Today is my wonderful Mums 84. Birthday and my brother and I decided to take her out for part of the celebrations. The person who took my telephone booking was pleasant and so helpful and I mentioned my Mum may be in a wheelchair which they duly noted. Monday, 14 May 2012. 14 May 2012. 19.00. This is my first blog entry. It is really just a test. The rain is pouring down. The sun was glorious today and then, when a glass of white and a stroll around the garden beckoned, the heavens opened. Anyway Great British Menu on tonight 7.30pm. Not as good as previous years, probably due to the producers pandering to the Heston Blumental school of cookery, but done by inexperienced but otherwise brilliant chefs.
