http://jenxmusings.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Girl meets God. Every day. Over and over again. And somehow never tires of the re-introduction of His goodness, His grace, His mercy and His love. Still a GenX-er with a love of hair bands though. Monday, October 13, 2008. Because honestly, there is enough of the negative. I know, I know, negative works. And I agree. But sometimes isn't it nice to say something nice? Musings from JenX: August 2011

Girl meets God. Every day. Over and over again. And somehow never tires of the re-introduction of His goodness, His grace, His mercy and His love. Still a GenX-er with a love of hair bands though. Tuesday, August 9, 2011. I started this blog ages ago, and I never really kept up on it. I was never a kid to be able to keep a journal on a regular basis either, so I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised to learn I couldn’t keep a blog up regularly either. I know we’re never alone in the spiritual sense...

Girl meets God. Every day. Over and over again. And somehow never tires of the re-introduction of His goodness, His grace, His mercy and His love. Still a GenX-er with a love of hair bands though. Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Thank goodness for wake-up calls. And I’m not talking about the hotel ones, either, though they have certainly come thru for me on more than one occasion. I mean the life wake-up calls that God hands you. My dad was diagnosed with leukemia (specifically CLL. 8221; – it’s a...Do you ne...

Musings from JenX: I HATE WEEDING
http://jenxmusings.blogspot.com/2011/10/i-hate-weeding.html
Girl meets God. Every day. Over and over again. And somehow never tires of the re-introduction of His goodness, His grace, His mercy and His love. Still a GenX-er with a love of hair bands though. Wednesday, October 12, 2011. It’s the worst chore ever. When I was single and living in an apartment, I thought it was dusting, but once I got married and moved to a house in the suburbs, where you have to have things like “landscaping” (but no budget for a full-time gardener – drat! To remove it from my life&#...

Musings from JenX: I love a good story, even when I think I don’t have one
http://jenxmusings.blogspot.com/2011/09/i-love-good-story-even-when-i-think-i.html
Girl meets God. Every day. Over and over again. And somehow never tires of the re-introduction of His goodness, His grace, His mercy and His love. Still a GenX-er with a love of hair bands though. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. I love a good story, even when I think I don’t have one. You bet. All of which I needed Jesus’ sacrifice for. But depravity? I sometimes wonder - are we as Christians so focused on the conversion story. That we forget the angels rejoice when every person comes to Christ? Don’t...

Musings from JenX: I am Jonah

Girl meets God. Every day. Over and over again. And somehow never tires of the re-introduction of His goodness, His grace, His mercy and His love. Still a GenX-er with a love of hair bands though. Friday, November 4, 2011. So everyone thinks of Jonah and the Whale. Big Fish. Whatever. But lots of folks forget why he got swallowed up in the first place – because he was running from what God wanted him to do. And what was it God wanted him to do? Now, instead of being told to head out to Nineveh, Nineveh i...

Girl meets God. Every day. Over and over again. And somehow never tires of the re-introduction of His goodness, His grace, His mercy and His love. Still a GenX-er with a love of hair bands though. Thursday, June 12, 2008. I've been struggling with the whole China-is-hosting-the-Olympics thing. On the one hand, they have a horrible human rights record, imprisoning political dissidents and persecuting Christians. Should we really be accepting that? And feting them, their country, their government? Well, I'...

Musings from JenX: March 2012
http://jenxmusings.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Girl meets God. Every day. Over and over again. And somehow never tires of the re-introduction of His goodness, His grace, His mercy and His love. Still a GenX-er with a love of hair bands though. Tuesday, March 20, 2012. I think women in general can be exceedingly hard on themselves, and I know I in particular am on myself. I never seem to get it right. I want to reflect Jesus’ mercy, but instead I withhold it, thinking rather that the person should “get what they deserve.”. But instead I get annoyed.

Musings from JenX: The coming storm
http://jenxmusings.blogspot.com/2011/09/coming-storm.html
Girl meets God. Every day. Over and over again. And somehow never tires of the re-introduction of His goodness, His grace, His mercy and His love. Still a GenX-er with a love of hair bands though. Friday, September 16, 2011. As the people sat in their coffee cafes in the capitol city, did they know trouble was coming? As they went to dinner with friends, shopped the boutiques, headed to the market to pick up items for dinner, did they feel unease? And if so, what did they do with it? Act on the fear?
