Motive | Oleoptene
https://oleoptene.wordpress.com/2007/10/17/motive
8220;The last temptation is the greatest treason, To do the right deed for the wrong reason.” — T.S. Eliot. What about when it’s about sustaining a picture of myself within my own head? Has anything I’ve ever done really had a pure motive? October 17, 2007. My exciting life. Be the first to comment! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. I’m so pleased with how they turned out! Time consuming little buggers, though. I’ve actually been working on them in every spare moment I could find for the last two weeks. I just put the finishing touches on them today. And here’s one special little guy that won’t ship out with the rest but who is going to a dear friend whom I’ve neglected terribly lately. I’m sorry I’ve been so absent and quiet… I do think about you every day. By jenzai on May 10, 2009. 11 Responses to “Remember me? And the photograph...

September 10, 2007. Holding forth. The Care and Keeping of a Brain. Ok, even a literary novice like myself realizes that the worst possible ending sentence for a book is “It was all just a dream… or was it? 8221; Which makes me fantasize about a prank appending this sentence to, say, every work in the Penguin Classics series. Watch, I’ll never get a job copyediting now. Are concerned, and that leaves you with the choice between scribbling in journals that you want burnt upon your demise, trying to find s...

The Good Enough Education | Oleoptene
https://oleoptene.wordpress.com/2007/09/13/the-good-enough-education
The Good Enough Education. This first week of kindergarten has been exhausting, the long day leaves Søren just ragged, I drive him home and he gets irrational and sob-y over things that wouldn’t normally throw his little extroverted self for a loop, like not being able to sit next to his only friend in the class — in the world! Lately I’ve been sensitive to this sort of back-handed compliment, “Wow, four kids. I’m sure I could never do it, it would make me crazy. You must just be a sort of natural at it.”. But you know what? Have I experienced some ‘natural’ advantages? September 15, 2007. Holding forth. Be the first to comment! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.
