Single women, part 4: on purpose. It's taken me longer to think about this post because of its delicate nature. Why are we here? There is a different array of answers for each of us, and I don't want to presume that I know why you're here and what your higher calling is in life. All of us are called to glorify God through Jesus Christ in our life. All of us. How we do that, however, is up to us and the freedom we experience in following Jesus. When will you arise from your sleep? In my life, I have found...

take these chances: 11.10
http://sarahelizabethgriffin.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Not seize tomorrow, or seize the future. I refuse to believe that what I have now is not good enough. I refuse to believe that this day was not ordained, and is not full of His blessings. I refuse to believe that I am not effective with the Gospel. God, make me thankful. Make me aware. Make me ever-ready to do your work.today. I really like birthdays! Unlike my bff Amanda Scott, who hates birthdays.or just hates getting older. Somehow, on my birthday, nothing can go wrong. By The Postal Service. You can'...

To the sleepless...: August 2010

This is my reply: I will write you a lullaby. Let other pens dwell on guilt and misery.". Monday, August 16, 2010. I have been remiss in keeping up with my postings, and for that I sincerely apologize. Because I slept all of an hour last night and can foresee another bout of insomnia looming on the horizon, my brain is not functioning at it's highest capacity. So I will leave you with this playlist in an attempt to reinstate my Music Monday posts. Goodbye Shadows.Lay Your Head On My Shoulder. I can't go ...

To the sleepless...: Perfect.
http://jennaelizabethlaird.blogspot.com/2010/04/perfect.html
This is my reply: I will write you a lullaby. Let other pens dwell on guilt and misery.". Thursday, April 8, 2010. This morning I awoke to the sound of my alarm. Bon Iver's "Beach Baby" serenaded me into wakefulness and I opened my eyes to thin strips of sunshine glittering through my Venetian blinds. It made me smile and I took my sweet time getting out of bed. Seriously, there is no better way to set the tone of your day than to wake up smiling. So I was delirious with joy for a few seconds.

To the sleepless...: Well hello there.
http://jennaelizabethlaird.blogspot.com/2010/07/well-hello-there.html
This is my reply: I will write you a lullaby. Let other pens dwell on guilt and misery.". Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Nice to see you all, it's been awhile. In the time that has elapsed since my last post, I have graduated college and travelled through eleven European countries. Regardless, I feel inclined to make myself commit to something right now. Some sort of positive motion that will help me feel as if I'm moving forward and not stuck in this dreadful limbo. I suppose we shall see how it all goes.

To the sleepless...: February 2010
http://jennaelizabethlaird.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
This is my reply: I will write you a lullaby. Let other pens dwell on guilt and misery.". Tuesday, February 23, 2010. It snowed today. In Texas! The snow was not only heavy and lasting, it stuck. The white wonderland that became our yard provided my roommates and me the opportunity to build two stout, and slightly skewed, snowmen and make snow angles! The Snow that never Drifts- Emily Dickinson. The Snow that never drifts -. The transient, fragrant snow. That comes a single time a Year. I was reminded of...

To the sleepless...: Spring time in Dallas, an Awakening.
http://jennaelizabethlaird.blogspot.com/2010/03/spring-time-in-dallas-awakening.html
This is my reply: I will write you a lullaby. Let other pens dwell on guilt and misery.". Sunday, March 28, 2010. Spring time in Dallas, an Awakening. It's two for one Sunday. This post is going to be a hodge podge of things I love about this weekend. In short, it was incredible. Okay, I'm done with the gushing, I promise. In other news, to feed the member's of our house insatiable appetites for all things Broadway, Liz has decided we are going to read one excerpt from her book about the great Theaters o...
