Life is better with ritabunnies. The Seasons follow one after another, each with it's own special charm and celebration. Please click on each page to see each season's page. After a long winters nap we all are happy when Spring arrives! Flowers start to bloom, it becomes warm and we can be outside. Now it becomes hot, and the flowers (and weeds) grow like crazy! Perfect time for a cool drink on the deck by the pond.

Life is better with ritabunnies. Welcome to my studio on Taft Street. I create hand-built ceramic sculptures in this little cottage that celebrate the special moments in life. Collections include seasonal pieces as well as items for each holiday and event. The pieces you see on these pages are each sculpted from stoneware clay and painted with glazes and fired in one of my kilns. My work is inspired by the turning of the seasons, the beauty of our natural world, and life's most sublime moments.

Life is better with ritabunnies. The Holidays we celebrate are filled with tradition and enjoyment. We anticipate them, prepare for them, and we spend them with our loved ones, doing the things we have done for years. I am so pleased that my work is often included in these celebrations and love hearing about the traditions that they have helped preserve. Please click on each picture to visit the page or pages for each holiday! Follow the above picture to the Christmas pages.

This blog depicts an artist's life. It shares the stories of sculptor Rita Jackson in her studio on Taft St. Thursday, July 28, 2011. I am purging. I am shedding. I am getting rid of stuff that has followed me around for many many years. I have my stuff, my kid's stuff and some of my parent's too. It's normal for a woman my age. My kids are helping and their more modern attitude of shredding and pitching is an obvious result of one fact: their. Parents did NOT grow up during the depression. Mine did.

We decided start it off right and go to one of our favorite places, Bass Pro Shop and look at the animals and watch the fish. And would it step on him? Or lick him on the head like his puppies do with some really huge slurp? He took mommy and one of hi...

Rita Jackson Sculptor: Taft and Washington
http://rabbitvilleroad.blogspot.com/2013/07/taft-and-washington.html
This blog depicts an artist's life. It shares the stories of sculptor Rita Jackson in her studio on Taft St. Thursday, July 11, 2013. When I told the father about it, he said that he has a fox that comes at 4 am every morning too. My animals have found me I thought. A few days ago a nice young man was walking down the street with his very blond and curly little girl I asked how old she was and he replied in the thick Irish brogue I remember from Catholic school as a girl!
