Views of the Hood: August 2013
http://jillairemcm.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Views of the Hood. Motherhood. The Neighborhood. Mt. Hood. Thursday, August 22, 2013. Bottom Bunk for Holly. When we returned from our trip to Utah, Damon had the bunk bed all set up in Gunnar's and Holly's room. I took pictures of Holly on her first night in her truly big-girl bed. Up until now she's been in a toddler bed. I didn't realize until getting ready to do this post, however, that it was also Gunnar's. First time in a truly big-boy bed! Our Trip to Utah, or the Longest Post I've Ever Made.

Views of the Hood: March 2015
http://jillairemcm.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Views of the Hood. Motherhood. The Neighborhood. Mt. Hood. Sunday, March 8, 2015. In January 2014 Holly began attending Primary at church. That means she "graduated" from the toddler nursery and into the "big kid" class. The littlest. Big kid class is called Sunbeams. Those three-year-olds are always the most wiggly children in the room, but they bring a lot of cheerful light- just like real sunbeams. And here are just a few snapshots of Holly from January 2014:. Time on the iPad, for sure. It is a prett...

Views of the Hood. Motherhood. The Neighborhood. Mt. Hood. Tuesday, February 24, 2015. December 2013 Moments Not to Be Forgotten. I got my first smartphone in November 2013. While I sometimes felt like the last. Person to finally get one, I really knew that I wasn't. I'm typing this in February 2015 and Damon is still a hold-out. Anyway, once you always. Answer: One doesn't. One just lumps them all together in a post that can capture a dozen individual (or small group) moments. Allowed to photograph in t...

Views of the Hood. Motherhood. The Neighborhood. Mt. Hood. Sunday, February 2, 2014. Mt Tamalpais Trail Run. After watching (via the Internet) his brother Justin complete the 100-mile Run Rabbit Run. Trail race in Colorado, Damon decided it was time to train for another ultra-marathon himself. (Remember the Badger Mountain Challenge. He signed up for the 50k Mt. Tamalpais Trail Run, and then went about inviting friends, co-workers, and family to join him. He got one taker: my brother Jed. Damon stuck it ...

Views of the Hood: SLO Children's Museum
http://jillairemcm.blogspot.com/2014/11/slo-childrens-museum.html
Views of the Hood. Motherhood. The Neighborhood. Mt. Hood. Sunday, November 23, 2014. On November 30, 2013, two days after Thanksgiving, we visited the Children's Museum in San Luis Obispo with Uncle Jotham, Aunt Dana, cousins Cassie, Braden, and Kara, and Grandma and Grandpa. We were quite a crew, and gratefully the small museum wasn't too crowded. We had great fun exploring the many hands-on exhibits. We tried to build earthquake-proof structures . . . And played with magnets . . . Carl and Niki Eastley.

Views of the Hood: Christmas 2013
http://jillairemcm.blogspot.com/2015/02/christmas-2013.html
Views of the Hood. Motherhood. The Neighborhood. Mt. Hood. Tuesday, February 24, 2015. We feel lucky and blessed to be able to have lots of presents on Christmas morning. We know it's not the real reason for the season, but enjoy the joy of giving and then seeing people light up in delight as they open their gifts. Here's a photo of all the "loot" before the kiddos descended. And I surpised Damon with a guitar! The year before I gave him Guitar for Dummies. Ehwho are we kidding? Time wink wink.). Adah st...

Views of the Hood: November 2014
http://jillairemcm.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Views of the Hood. Motherhood. The Neighborhood. Mt. Hood. Sunday, November 23, 2014. In early December 2013 there was a Book Fair at the kids' elementary school. There was also a craft fair attached to the event, and I had the crazy idea to sell my wares at it. I wasn't quite sure what my wares were.but I got sewing and crafting and had an eclectic grouping of handmade goods to sell come time. The hair clips had pretty stiff competition and I only sold a couple of those, and the headband hangers were a ...
