Her High Heels: School Pictures
http://herhighheels.blogspot.com/2014/12/school-pictures.html
Tuesday, December 9, 2014. During one of my freak-out homeschool mommy moments, I started wondering how many "normal" activities my kids would miss by not going to school. For some reason, Picture Day kept coming to mind (seriously? Since I'm not much of a picture person, it's ironic that I was worried about my kiddos not getting to have their pictures made at school. It's not like I was planning on hanging up pics of my children against boring blue or fake bookshelf backdrops. View my complete profile.

Her High Heels: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You
http://herhighheels.blogspot.com/2012/07/thank-you-thank-you-thank-you.html
Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. I'm almost to the half way point of this pregnancy, and it's been a rough few months. I certainly couldn't have accomplished half of what I've done (which honestly isn't that much) without the help of my family. So today, I just wanted to say Thank You to everyone who has aided me in some way. July 3, 2012 at 4:04 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Words to Live By. Her High Heels: Don't Take Parenthood for Granted
http://herhighheels.blogspot.com/2014/12/dont-take-parenthood-for-granted.html
Friday, December 5, 2014. Don't Take Parenthood for Granted. I sat through my first continuing legal education class today. Okay, technically it wasn't my first CLE, but it was my first "live" class to attend. My frugal self likes to take the freebie classes I find online. Today, however, I ventured out into the adult world. As a school nurse, parents aggravated me a lot. They would send their kids to school with dirty clothes, no socks, no coat, lice in their hair, no lunch, with high fevers, etc...

Her High Heels: What to Wear to a Golf Tournament
http://herhighheels.blogspot.com/2011/05/what-to-wear-to-golf-tournament.html
Saturday, May 21, 2011. What to Wear to a Golf Tournament. I think the best way to tell you what to wear to a golf tournament is to tell you what not to wear based on what I saw. Do not wear a spaghetti strap camisole. This is not a shirt, this is something that you wear under a shirt. Do not wear a low cut dress with slits up to your rear end. Your husband might think you look sexy, but the other spectator wives who get to look at your lower half when the wind blows think you look skanky. Do not carry a...

Her High Heels: Happy 1 Year
http://herhighheels.blogspot.com/2012/03/happy-1-year.html
Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Happy Belated Birthday to my Blog! I can't believe it's been over a year since I started blogging. Oh what fun it has been. I'm a little late on my 1 year celebration, because last week my family of 4 was hanging loose on the island pictured above. (FYI- that is Diamond Head Crater on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.) Hopefully I can post pictures and stories from my trip on the blog soon. Thanks again for a fun first year. Feel free to interact and add comments this next year....

Her High Heels: Hand, Foot, & Mouth Disease
http://herhighheels.blogspot.com/2012/05/hand-foot-mouth-disease.html
Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. My little family doesn't get sick very often. So when they do get sick, our lives are literally turned upside down. Even though I'm a nurse, I just can't get used to illnesses in my home- especially when I am the one with the illness. What good does it do anyone when the nurse is sick? Anyway, if you are ever lucky enough to experience hand, foot and mouth, here are some tips from the nurse:. 1) Have some Tylenol on hand to fight the high fever.

Her High Heels: Toys That Make Noise
http://herhighheels.blogspot.com/2014/12/toys-that-make-noise.html
Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Toys That Make Noise. I enjoy toy shopping. No, seriously, toy stores and toy aisles are loads of fun! I love pushing buttons to see the wheels spin on a car or to hear music play. There's something delightfully stimulating about playing in the toy aisle. Today, I discovered the most evil of noisy toys. It was cute and enticing and almost tempting to the untrained mommy eye. Had I not known what I know about noisy toys, I might have wanted to purchase it. Ugh As you're out t...

Her High Heels: Time to Celebrate!
http://herhighheels.blogspot.com/2015/05/time-to-celebrate.html
Friday, May 29, 2015. Today is a day of celebration. Today was the official last day to our first year of homeschooling. Our kindergartner is now a 1st grader! Yes, that's right. I included morning sickness as one of our problems. To say that I have been "under-the-weather" for the last couple of months would be a huge understatement. We found out in March that baby #4 will be joining us this fall! I would have blogged sooner, but did you really want to read posts by a miserable pregnant lady? I'm a foll...
