Right in the middle of the madding crowd: Multicasting in c#
http://antipractice.blogspot.com/2009/11/multicasting-in-c.html
Right in the middle of the madding crowd. A technology blog where i share the lessons I have learnt over the years. Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Posted at: 10:58 PM. This has been one topic that had me going around in circles for quite some time. Not that it was difficult to find sources that helped me. But it was the sheer difference in approaches that really frustrated me. The cache server transmits a 'pulse' signal. The peers will look for this signal to ensure that the central cache service is al...

Ruminations: Book Review: No Higher Honor by Condoleezza Rice
http://karasevai.blogspot.com/2011/12/book-review-no-higher-honor-by.html
Random thoughts and musings of my crazy mind! Book Review: No Higher Honor by Condoleezza Rice. The book reads like a compilation of world happenings in the first decade of 2000. You get some insight into the way American dealt with many issues that happened and how the discussions to resolve many a dispute played out. It was an interesting book to read. However, it could have been a lot better if it had not been stuck in a loop about Israel and Iraq. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Right in the middle of the madding crowd. A technology blog where i share the lessons I have learnt over the years. Friday, November 20, 2009. Trapped with Internet Explorer 6. Posted at: 9:22 PM Filed Under: Chromeframe. Working on a product for three long years building a web2.0 software with all the bells and whistles that an any sane human would care for is taking its toll on me. It would cost them more to install IE 7 on all their user browser than the annual contract for using our software! Well, o...

Right in the middle of the madding crowd. A technology blog where i share the lessons I have learnt over the years. Wednesday, February 3, 2010. IPad style devices will eventually replace netbooks. Posted at: 12:29 AM Filed Under: iPad netbooks. Everyone is right about their views on iPad. I would not touch it with a barge pole" said one. Who would want to lug this thing around? It will redefine computing devices even it flops" quipped an analyst. I use a laptop at home and what do I do with it? Of cours...

Random thoughts and musings of my crazy mind! Book Review: Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. When I saw Shantaram on the bookshelves of a leisure store a few years back when it was launched, I did pickup the book and read the synopsis. It said. " The story of a fugitive from Australia who sneaks into Mumbai and ends up in the slum and joins the mafia and goes on to fight with the Mujahideen in Afghanistan against the Russians. I opened and read the first page. I was intrigued and I picked up the book&#...

Ruminations: Book Review: Immortals of Meluha by Amish

Random thoughts and musings of my crazy mind! Book Review: Immortals of Meluha by Amish. What if Shiva was a man as human as anyone can be thrust with an enormous burden of responsibility to fight for good and vanquish evil, thrust with a stature of god for reasons he cannot come to terms with, and not a worker of miracles like the lore says? What a brilliant premise for a work of fiction? Soon, Shiva finds himself leading a battle against the Chandravanshis who are blamed for the repeated terrorist atta...

Ruminations: Gandhi was bisexual?
http://karasevai.blogspot.com/2011/03/gandhi-was-bisexual.html
Random thoughts and musings of my crazy mind! Controversial book on Gandhi banned. Apparently a new book says that Gandhi was bisexual and so India has banned the book and sic. If all of Gandhi's sins were being bisexual or drinking or eating meat before he changed himself to become a Mahatma, i say fine! He was all of that and none of it matters to an Indian than what he achieved for India. He was not born a Mahatma. So we have to make allowances for the 'coming of age' period of his life. It wa...I say...

Random thoughts and musings of my crazy mind! Will History repeat itself? Now the Congress took notice and by the time Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru decided to act on the problem, Potti Sriramulu was dead and the region was in the grips of violence. After Andhra Pradesh was created, the other regions soon followed suite demanding their own states carved on the basis of linguistic organizations. Where will this lead to? After all what better way to win an election than by whipping up mass movements for a 'cause'.
