The Solstice Slip | Sockgalaxy's Blog
https://sockgalaxy.wordpress.com/2008/12/15/the-solstice-slip
My world of knitting. This pattern and yarn was the third kit of the 2007 Rockin’ Sock Club and is one my favourites, The pattern had the option of either toe-up or cuff down, I chose the toe-up so to get the most out of the full skein of yarn. The Solstice Slip by J C Briar. Yarn Blue Moon Fibers Lightweight. These turned out a little large and bulky to wear with ordinary boots, so I tend to use these as house socks and are lovely warm and bright for those chillier days. Feed You can leave a response.

Knitsmith: January 2010
http://janknits.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Live in Kent, knit, sew, spin and enjoy life! Thursday, January 07, 2010. I found this great pattern for a Scottie Quillow. And could not resist trying it out on a cushion. A Quillow is a quilt which folds into a pillow. The cushion is red fleece, the scottie is black felt, the coat is an oddment of red marl fleece and the collar is a little piece of check fabric, really fun to make. A group of hearts, just for fun decoration, I saw something similar a shop and thought I would try and copy the idea.

He was fun to knit and as you can see he was awarded a small rosette for "Best in Show"! Pattern was great to use as part of the bunting for our display. I made these as part of the. At the County Show. The Show was very hampered by heavy rain this year so visitor numbers were down but at least we were back in our marquee near the sheep pens.

One Ball Short of a Dye Lot: Something new (and not the baby)
http://oneballshort.blogspot.com/2009/05/something-new-and-not-baby.html
One Ball Short of a Dye Lot. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Something new (and not the baby). Just a note before I carry on. no baby not here :o(. However, I've been knitting on a new project which I literally cast on after seeing the pattern yesterday on Ravelry. Here is the 1st of the Green Thumb mitts (details on my ravelry projects page). Looks kinda squashed when not on. Stretched out on my hand but still very roomy. Leaf detail on the thumb gusset. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Hope everything goes ok tomorrow.
