This is the appetizer I made for this year’s costume party at Matt and Lisa’s. It was originally from QVC’s “In the Kitchen with David”. 2 8-oz. packages of cream cheese. 1 cup sour cream. 1/4 tsp. garlic powder. 3/4 cup pizza or spaghetti sauce. 1 cup chopped pepperoni. 1 cup chopped green pepper. 1/2 cup grated Asiago cheese. Black pepper to taste.

These spiced cookies are a lovely Dutch treat similar to snickerdoodles. You can often find a more crunchy version made in the shape of windmills available in boxes in your supermarket’s cookie aisle. The more crunchy ones are made to be dipped in coffee, but these softer cookies are great for enjoying by themselves or with a glass of milk. 1-1/2 sticks butter, melted.
