I WENT out to the hazel wood Because a fire was in my head. Friday, March 07, 2008. I'm part of a group pushing "Green Issues" up the agenda where I work. We have had some success, but there's still a lot to do. I've created a new Collection on the London Permaculture. Flickr site for issues to do with " waste. One of the included Sets features photos. And explanations of the recycling facilities in the offices of Amnesty International. Next stop - office composting, dealing with tetrapaks, etc etc.

I seem stuck on war metaphors right now - I wonder why that would be? It's all too easy to see all these rumblings in the Middle East (or South West Asia) as the beginnings of World War III, or an escalation in the long war for oil. President Ahmadinejad in Iran warns. Of "a brewing and dangerous storm". King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia warns.
