Within the first week of moving to Ho Chi Minh, I was warmly placed under my mentor's wings and shown around town and introduced to her eclectic friends: a collaboration of artists, musicians and academics. One Thursday night, we ventured out to a local bar called Yoko, named after the infamous NYC artist and her role in breaking up The Beatles.
