Marathons, Gnomes, & Motorcycles: March 2008

http://runningbikergirl.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, March 23, 2008. The Easter Bunny came to town. We have had a sugar-filled and laziness-coated day. No bellyaches yet, but I see them in our future. Our big Easter tradition is to plant jelly beans the night before.and then run outside in the morning to see if they sprouted. Did you know that the night before Easter is the only time of the year when jelly beans grow into lolipops? Pretty magical. They are. Beans, you know. Really, I recommend it to anyone, regardless of age. I took Gnorm along on ...

Marathons, Gnomes, & Motorcycles: Crime strikes our house...Reward offered

http://runningbikergirl.blogspot.com/2008/08/crime-strikes-our-housereward-offered.html

Sunday, August 31, 2008. Crime strikes our house.Reward offered. Well, I woke up to a crappy finding on Thursday morning. Mr BAG, our 48 inch tall chainsaw-carved gnome was stolen from our front step overnight. This was not a little garden gnome sitting out in the yard somewhere.this was a four foot tall chunk of a tree. It took both Chris and I to move it from the driveway to the front step, and it wasn't easy. I have a couple of theories:. Since we do not live on a main street by any stretch of the ima...

Tuesday, August 12, 2008. No, not since I updated the blog, although I've been chewed out by several people about that.(I've been insanely busy and barely keeping my head above water) but Phoebe is 13 weeks old today. She went to the vet and she weighs. A little more than 25 pounds! She was 14pounds when we got her 2.5 weeks ago! Can't wait to see what she weighs when she goes back in three weeks! Aaaawwwwww my baby girl is getting so big! Aaaawwwwww my baby girl is getting so big! Soul Reflection Photog...

Thursday, January 31, 2008. Gnorm the Gnome's Adventures in Charlotte. Yes, you read it right.he has a name! Gnorm My good friend Megan gets the glory for that one. Gnorm and I went to Charlotte, North Carolina this week for two nights. He was TOTALLY ready for some warm Southern weather. I must say.Gnorm's a bit of a sissy when it comes to Winter. I found this awesome spot at the "The Phat Burrito". Gnorm was pretty tired from traveling and wanted to lay down and enjoy the weather. It was off to our mee...

Soul Reflection Photography Blog: January 2008

http://soulreflectionphotography.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 27, 2008. I had to offer my first ever re-shoot for a session. I just couldn't get the children to look at the camera or stay by the backdrop or stop moving even for a second. The father was gone so it was just the mother and she was really busy so couldn't help much. and my heart sank when I ended the session with nothing. Well, fortunately the children were available for a second try, a week later, and their parents were both home this time so their dad could help out. Links to this post.

Soul Reflection Photography Blog: December 2007

http://soulreflectionphotography.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, December 30, 2007. My 45 year old and I spent a couple of hours outside yesterday building a HUGE snow fort. Two full rooms with built in seats, a set of stairs leading up to the 'roof' and a slide to come back down. You can't get the full effect in the photos, but they'll give you an idea. Links to this post. Since things are slow in the photography world in January, I will be sharing lots of new images of my girls and various 'non-client' work. Yesterday there was a tea party at our house.

Running Big | A big runner who used to be a lot bigger

Things I Left Behind. A big runner who used to be a lot bigger. Choosing a Training Program. I’m told that the Triathlon training for that organization is smaller and better supported in general but I remain a bit skeptical. Speaking of expensive… I went to register for the NYC Triathlon lottery. They wanted to charge $11 for the lottery registration but then the race itself is $285! For an Olympic Triathlon! And tagged Steelhead 70.3. Race creep hit me again. I ended up doing a couple of 10-milers, thre...
