The Classic Blog Redux is the second iteration of the Classic Blog, a site that ran for most of the 2009-10 season before stagnating and consequently shelved. Its focus is a mixture of statistics and opinion of all things related to the National Hockey League. The author, Ryan Classic, lives in Vancouver and is not a Canucks fan. Instead, Ryan is a supporter of the Ottawa Senators first and foremost, and the Colorado Avalanche second. He also writes for Silver Seven. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Ottawa Team Shop: Update 4. Wed January 22, 2014. I’m happy to say everything has been resolved. As a sign of mutual respect, I have taken down the previous posts on the subject. Going on the offensive about my issues with the Ottawa Senators and their official store is certainly not something I wanted to do nor enjoyed doing. And for all those involved it was not something they enjoyed being a part of. Now just hurry up and change the logo and we can all move on and be happy. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

The 'Eh' Factor: December 2010
http://ehfactor.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Peace Order. Good forechecking. Tuesday, December 28, 2010. Darryl Sutter came to Calgary midway through the 2002/2003 season, and stepped down before 2010 came to a close. His tenure represented a defining moment in the Flames franchise; it saw the prime of Jarome Iginla, the end of the playoff drought, a Stanley Cup appearance, and a number of baffling moves that sunk the franchise for years and years. Sunday, December 26, 2010. Russian juniors do marginally better than Russian olympians. Few greater t...

Peace Order. Good forechecking. Saturday, April 23, 2011. Was Brad Marchand's goal against the Habs illegal? Not to say that the rule being applied correctly would have made an impact on this game, but here is a case for the coachs challenge idea which has floated around the Interwebs for a year or so. As soon as I saw a quality angle of the first Boston Bruins goal in Game 5, I thought something was fishy. First, a rule regarding broken sticks:. Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Here are a few excerpts:. Peace Order. Good forechecking. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Since when is Columbus in the "Sun Belt" anyway? I hate these kinds of articles. Meanwhile, read this game recap of the Saint John/Owen Sound MasterCard Memorial Cup game. It was a very good hockey game. Sunday, May 22, 2011. An excellent standard for headshots. Heres a video of the hit, if you have not seen it already:. Saturday, May 21, 2011. Thoughts on Canada's Team, the Winnipeg Jets. Truly, Canadas team is now the Winnipeg Jets. Canadians like ...

Peace Order. Good forechecking. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Rules is Rules" in Alberta College Hockey. Mount Royal University's starting goaltender Justin Cote was injured in Game 4 of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) championship hockey series Saturday night, and was thus replaced by backup Brett Bothwell for the deciding Game 5. An emergency backup was placed on the bench. Problem was, the ACAC has ruled the backup goalie ineligible, and Game 5 will be replayed later tonight. Well he obvi...

Peace Order. Good forechecking. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Breaking: Americans find reason to complain about Sidney Crosby. Labels: New York Rangers. Monday, November 29, 2010. Just how much do they matter? I was reading Jonathan Willis excellent piece on Steve Montador. Monday night, and it got me thinking about why Buffalo was having such a bad season. They have a pretty progressive front office, and I fully expect the front office checked Behind The Net in scouting Steve Montador. 98 Reasons I love t...
The 'Eh' Factor: February 2011
http://ehfactor.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Peace Order. Good forechecking. Thursday, February 24, 2011. What does "grit" mean in hockey? Or Dont trade for Chris Neil. Grit, moxie, truculence, character, The Will of the Warrior, these are all words and terms that are thrown around at this time of year when the NHL trading deadline picks up steam. Otherwise unassuming players like David Clarkson, Marty Reasoner or, duh, Chris Neil get thrown around in potential trades on message boards, blog posts and radio stations. The 'Eh' Factor: January 2011
http://ehfactor.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Peace Order. Good forechecking. Monday, January 24, 2011. Other than the Wells trade, what we learned this weekend. This weekend, we learned through Roy MacGregor of the Globe that the Ottawa Senators are finally going to go through a rebuilding process. The team arent in a too bad of a position for a rebuild since theyll see a lot of expiring contracts over the next couple of years and arent going to be signing any big names for a while (if they do it right). Saturday, January 22, 2011. But now that doe...

The 'Eh' Factor: Weekend reset: Mark Hominick has a big lump on his face

Peace Order. Good forechecking. Monday, May 2, 2011. Weekend reset: Mark Hominick has a big lump on his face. Go vote† today and really show those terrorists who's boss. The picture over at Deadspin. Pretty much captures it all. Mark Hominick, the Thamesford, Ontario native, fought against Jose Aldo for the UFC featherweight championship at Rogers Centre on Saturday, and came out a little worse for wear. And signing an endorsement deal with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The Diaz fight is more likely, as the U...

Tuesday, April 15, 2008. This weekend was our "Southern Italy" trip which was the second USAC wide trip we have taken. It was a four day tour and we left on Thursday morning with our itinerary being Naples, Pompeii, Mt. Vesuvius, the Amalfi Coast, and Caserta. Stephen Anthony Ryan - Classic and Modern Gardens
I Have A Dream' Show Garden. Friday, 3 April 2015. Inspiring visit to National Trust property - Greys Court in Oxfordshire. I have often been disappointed by National Trust gardens but love visiting the good ones. Especially in Winter where you can see the structure and shapes without the distraction of colourful perennials and foliage. Today I went with my son and wife to look around Greys Court and it was full of wonderful ideas. No more words needed, i hope you enjoy them. Fabulous supports from willow.
