Mildly Hurtful Sarcasm: November 2006
http://mildlyhurtfulsarcasm.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Meaningless ranting, just like everybody else. Wednesday, November 29, 2006. So Fred called the four of us (me, Pete, Josh and Justin) up, asked for our help to clean up some messy mess. We were innocently unsuspecting enough. I was just preoccupied by those serious dents he made on the cargo bed of my red Tundra I loaned him last week. The staircase was lined with fading photos. The five of us were in most of them; the rest were Judy's. I never knew he cared enough to hang us on his wall; I can'...I hes...

Mildly Hurtful Sarcasm: February 2007

Meaningless ranting, just like everybody else. Friday, February 23, 2007. Quest for a nicer desktop IV - Fuzzy shadows. Per pixel transparency turned out to be easy. I don't call SetLayeredWindowAttributes(). To specify opacity. Also, instead of handing WM PAINT. Messages, I call UpdateLayeredWindow(). To draw the shadow window once. Opacity is specified by the colors themselves - center color 50% opacity, edge color 0%. INT num = 1;. BmCreateCompatibleBitmap(&dcDst, nWidth, nHeight);. Links to this post.

Mildly Hurtful Sarcasm: December 2006
http://mildlyhurtfulsarcasm.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Meaningless ranting, just like everybody else. Saturday, December 30, 2006. Tonight at a family gathering (for new year), my cousin from the US Patent and Trademark Office. Gave me a T-shirt. I am excited. Posted by markng @ 9:42 PM. Links to this post. Saturday, December 23, 2006. My day in San Francisco. First off was how people dispose of their old furnitures; a fridge, a tub, chairs and lamps, all out of the window! Posted by markng @ 11:11 PM. Links to this post. Wednesday, December 20, 2006. I am j...

Mildly Hurtful Sarcasm: March 2007
http://mildlyhurtfulsarcasm.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Meaningless ranting, just like everybody else. Friday, March 30, 2007. Sad to see idol Chris Sligh go. There was some unexpectedly deep stuff about racism on his blog. This kid's okay, I hope we get to see more of him in the future. Posted by markng @ 9:44 PM. Links to this post. Thursday, March 29, 2007. My Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 face off. Resizing fonts is not an accessibility choice in Firefox because most web pages won't layout correctly as a result , IE7's page zoom solves the problem.

Mildly Hurtful Sarcasm: June 2007
http://mildlyhurtfulsarcasm.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Meaningless ranting, just like everybody else. Tuesday, June 26, 2007. Arriving Macau - Portuguese influence I. Macau has been a Portuguese colony for centries; so Portuguese influence is naturally evident and readily visible. Even after the handover to China in 1999, Portuguese signs are still visible everywhere. Not to mention those blue tile street signs that are unmistakably Portuguese. Reminds me of those I saw in Queluz Palace. Posted by markng @ 11:17 PM. Links to this post. Monday, June 25, 2007.

Mildly Hurtful Sarcasm: January 2007
http://mildlyhurtfulsarcasm.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Meaningless ranting, just like everybody else. Tuesday, January 30, 2007. Quest for a nicer desktop III - Shadows. I've made my window transparent, and it's working fairly well. Shadow is what I'm after next. After a brief search on MSDN I found out about CS DROPSHADOW. Class style - turns out in XP, you can add shadows to your windows right out of the box. AfxRegisterWndClass(CS DROPSHADOW, .);. The result is actually pretty nice. INT num = 1;. Color clrSurround = Color: White;. This sucks, I am so close.

Mildly Hurtful Sarcasm: May 2007
http://mildlyhurtfulsarcasm.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Meaningless ranting, just like everybody else. Wednesday, May 23, 2007. Why didn't Claire just shoot Peter? I couldn't sleep last night (I need help.) thinking about why didn't Claire just shoot Peter; the more important question is: Peter can fly too, why didn't he fly up there himself? I think it has something to do with Nathan's need to redeem himself - he almost went along with Linderman's plan and let thousands (millions? Another question: Can Sylar be killed? Posted by markng @ 5:45 AM. And it's go...

Mildly Hurtful Sarcasm: April 2007
http://mildlyhurtfulsarcasm.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Meaningless ranting, just like everybody else. Monday, April 30, 2007. Peter Petrelli's scar II. I am disappointed at tonight's episode. It's not as exicting, and too much verbal explanations, like Nathan (Sylar)'s recap of what happened in the last five years to Suresh; gosh, he knew and lived through it! Where are all the visual story telling I've been enjoying and looking forward to! It's starting to suck, too ambitious, a bit predictable and too made up (Parkman the FBI chief? I mean, I don't know man.

Mildly Hurtful Sarcasm: July 2007
http://mildlyhurtfulsarcasm.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Meaningless ranting, just like everybody else. Friday, July 27, 2007. Arriving Macau - Chinese heritage. While Portuguese influence fades in Macau, Chinese heritage is readily visible. Lined the back allies of Leal Senado square are many East-meet-west style of buildings. In fact Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro has probably not changed much for the last half centry. Much of the shops still remain the same way as they would have been seen around Southeast Asia at that time. One with laterns, lots of them.
