8260; Camera Types. All of the cameras are located at collision hotspots that have a history of casualties. Every fixed camera is bright yellow and is visible from 60 yards in 40mph and below speed limit zones, and 100 yards in all other speed limit zones. All fixed camera routes are signed so that road users are aware that safety cameras are in use on that route. Fixed, mobile and average speed cameras are operated on Derbyshire's roads. Derbyshire uses two types of fixed cameras: Gatso and Truvelo.
