The other half of your career. So how did this all get started? The Kalamazoo X Conference began in May 2008 at a meeting of the Microsoft Developers of Southwest Michigan. An idea was thrown out that it would be nice to have a conference that showcased more “soft skills”, such as communication, running a business, process development, and working in teams. Many in the group felt the same way. And so the idea was born and the planning begun. The core group of volunteers come from a diverse background.

Mark Gilbert's Blog. Science and technology, served light and fluffy. Over a week ago, I unveiled a project. I’ve been working on tentatively called iSelf . Since then, I’ve finished the rough versions of the software components (both the program that runs on the Arduino Micro, as well as the custom downloader for the device) , and and greatly refactored both. . Late last week, I took delivery of the newest hardware components a lithium ion polymer, or LiPo battery, and a PowerBoost 500c from Adafruit.
