Monday, June 2, 2014. Culture in Third Grade. Earlier in the year, third graders took a field trip to Chinatown and used the iPads to document their experience. As a culminating activity for their unit on culture, the students worked in groups to share the elements of these photos that display "culture". These amazing Adobe Voice. Presentations were a great way to demonstrate student knowledge while also sharing photos from their fun day. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hi, I'm Sarah! Culture in Third Grade.

Friday, April 25, 2014. Fractions in Second Grade. Second graders in Ms. Almahdi's class used the feltboard app. To illustrate different fractions. This app allowed the students to be creative and express their individuality but it also encouraged students to stretch their thinking. Some students had feltboards with 20 different objects and they had 4-5 different fractions while others had detailed objects that they had to differentiate with fractions (ex: 2/4 kids with glasses).
