Writings from a Veteran. November 12, 2013. Finally on my last flight. it has been a long day. I have been a recluse in my flying and interactions today. I still don’t like crowds and I am still hyper vigilant. I have been thinking about the friends I’ve lost during my career and quickly realized that I should reach out to the ones I still have so today while I travelled I think I sent about 25 emails to old buddies to say hi, thank you, and catch up. Said she’s been in the AF for almost 18 years…T-shot at 18? Seems a tad off. Anyway a man in first class infront of us got up and offered her his seat…to which she did not hesitate an instant to get up and take it. So I couldn’t listen any longer and put my music on.
