Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill: Amanda's first show!
http://shellyct.blogspot.com/2009/05/amandas-first-show.html
Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill. Sunday, May 17, 2009. My daughter attended her first horse show today! She did great, First Place in Equitation, Second Place in Pleasure, and Fourth in ground poles. Is that a school pony? I know you're so proud :). May 18, 2009 at 7:14:00 AM EDT. Yup, she's a school pony. Great little pony, I want to scoop her up and bring her home and save her from all the kids with bad hands and hard butts! May 18, 2009 at 7:29:00 AM EDT. Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill: Where I've Been
http://shellyct.blogspot.com/2010/07/where-ive-been.html
Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. There's an echo in here. I think I see one little face way in the back. Hi there! I'm still here, sort of, but in a much different place than I was when I started this blog. The story goes like this. Was I looking for work? I had an interview the next day (a Friday), which wasn't really an interview but more of a "We need you, will you please work for us? And started on Monday. So in case you thought I fell off the face of the earth, I h...

Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
http://shellyct.blogspot.com/2009/04/good-bad-and-ugly.html
Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. I rode Lakota for a short while yesterday, and we had a les than stellar day. She was a little resistant, and I wasn't sure if it was her mood, or I was being conflicting. So when I had the chance to take her out again today, I was excited. The kids are off school this week, so I don't have to meet any school buses, and have the luxury of time after work. Let me tell you, that was NOT easy, I was that sti...

Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill: Busy, busy!
http://shellyct.blogspot.com/2009/06/busy-busy.html
Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill. Saturday, June 27, 2009. I'm proud of it, we have worked hard on it, so that it reflects exactly what we are about, gives the information that we want to put out there, while still being concise and eye-catching. www.bethanychiropractic.com. There is a saying, what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. All joking aside, I think these times make you look harder at what is truly important. Keep on dreaming! July 19, 2009 at 9:55:00 AM EDT. Saving Miss Jen: Update
http://savingmissjen.blogspot.com/2010/06/update.html
Monday, June 28, 2010. I haven't updated Jen's blog in quite some time, mostly due to time-constrains, and I what I feel is nothing exciting that someone would want to take the time to read. But I'll bore you anyway with the "not much" that has been going on here. I will continue to do EquineTouch on her, which I admittedly have not done enough of, only a few sessions over the years. Oh, Jen is actually more worried about having tack removed, and gets really scared when you take the saddle off her. S...

Saving Miss Jen: December 2008
http://savingmissjen.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 20, 2008. I got up this morning, and put my hands to the glass slider door to thebalcony in the bedroom. I said to my husband "Its around 15F out there". He laughed. I fed dogs, booted up the computer, then headed out with mush for Whinney the toothless pony, and hay for the rest of the girls. It was 7 am, with 10 inches of fresh snow on the ground, and the wind blowing some more flurries around. I'm still pretty numb at 7 am, especially before coffee. No wonder she was chilly, with th...

Saving Miss Jen: Dental work
http://savingmissjen.blogspot.com/2010/11/dental-work.html
Monday, November 1, 2010. Last Friday, I came home from work late, and my daughter says to me "Hey Mom, Jen has a marshmallow on the side of her face". Greaaatt. See, Jen is "that" horse. You know, the one in every herd that has some kind of injury or weirdness? She's that one here. No such luck. By Sunday it was bigger again, but still no heat, swelling or problems eating. I called the vet Monday, and she was out Tuesday. The short answer? Jen's procedure went well. The clinic removed the #4 premola...
