Campus Dishcrawl – coming up! | Adventures in Eating

https://savoringeugene.wordpress.com/2013/07/17/campus-dishcrawl-coming-up

Campus Dishcrawl 7/30/13 →. July 17, 2013 · 9:32 am. Campus Dishcrawl – coming up! I’m excited to say we’ve been invited on a Dishcrawl. That’s happening in a couple of weeks. We’ll spend an evening with a bunch of other folks checking out four restaurants (to be named later) in the campus area (sans students for the summer – the best time to be there! I am really looking forward to both the eating and the post-food documentation. We hope to discover places we’d never think to go otherwise! Enter your em...

El Azteca, aka El Az (East Lansing, MI). Campus Dishcrawl – coming up! May 21, 2013 · 8:10 am. Eugene keeps EXPANDING and GROWING and adding NEW AWESOME RESTAURANTS. I’m super excited about it, as perhaps you can tell. One brand-new addition is the permanent, fully-roofed version of the PartyCart. Our previous favorite food cart. It is shaping up to possibly be our new favorite restaurant. OMG WHAT. I’ll. There’s no legacy. Pick whatever they have on offer, and eat with an open mind. It will almost c...

Happy Hour at Izumi. April 30, 2012 · 4:42 pm. Brunch at the PartyCart. One of the best things Eugene is starting to inherit from Portland is the legacy of the seriously awesome food cart. Anna and I are both huge fans of cart food, so we try to check out every place that looks halfway decent. In fact, our creation of a cart food spreadsheet was a big reason why we first started this blog. It was SO GOOD. It was rich and creamy and shrimpy, but not fishy. It was a little bit spicy, but that wasn&...The l...

Campus Dishcrawl – coming up! August 5, 2013 · 3:50 pm. Last week Anna and I attended our first Dishcrawl. Having been invited by the organizer, Rosalie. Part of the fun of Dishcrawl is that you have to take your chances; you don’t find out where you’re starting until the day before, and you don’t find out each subsequent stops until you’re on your way there. We were a tiny bit skeptical when we learned we’d be starting at Track Town Pizza. The barbecue pizza is the best thing. All in all it was a really...

Still no news on the house. There's a sold sign out in front, but that seems mostly for show. Savoring the sweet and salty of life. Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Fun in the Sun. Well, it is truly summer here. We have had several days of the high being 108 degrees! Savoring Each Moment

Friday, May 27, 2011. That's the way we used the porch all last summer, and we really enjoyed it. Then, this past March, I got the notion that if we moved all those bags of cement and other baggy-things (up against the far-left window), we'd have even more. Porch at our disposal. So, at my request, my hulking husband moved 30 eighty-pound bags around the house and into the garage. And it was awesome! I started thinking that since we already had the stucco material (remember all those 80-pound bags? We we...

Golden Girl Granola Product Review and Avocado Chocolate Pudding. February 9, 2015. As it is with bloggers, I receive requests to review products, most of which I decline as either it would not be something I would personally eat or use, like processed food or excessive kitchen gadgetry. I select those that I feel would be useful, healthy and valuable to share. Recently I was contacted by Ethan Casucci, Director of Client Services at Thought for Food and Son. Who introduced me to Golden Girl Granola.
