Scott Bolohan - This is London. Monday, May 11, 2009. 11/5/09 Oslo, London. We went out for a walk looking for places to be open, hoping for something like a McDonald's to be where they would just let us sit and hang out for a while. There were some bars but none looked that great. We went and sat outside under a heating light and they had blankets you could use too. It was really nice. Scott Bolohan - This is London. Sunday, May 10, 2009. Next we went to the old Apple Store and from there down to a 55 Wimpole Street, which I walk past just about everyday. It was here that Paul lived with Jane Asher. He wrote songs like 'Yesterday' there, which is just incredible to me. From there we went to Giraffe, a restuarant that used to be the Indian place in 'A Hard Day's Night.'. From there we walked down to Marylebone High Street to try to get her a book. Scott Bolohan - This is London. Sunday, May 3, 2009. We got up for breakfast down in the restaurant, which we weren't sure if it was free or not. Turns out it was, or at least we didn't pay. It was solid, lots of breads and even Coco Puffs. There was one very good pastry with soft bread and chocolate inside, a decent breakfast. I came back up and sent in my column, it's funny I think. Scott Bolohan - This is London. Wednesday, May 13, 2009. I met her at the airport and we took the Tube back. We were both beat so we took a nap. After breakfast and showering it was too late to get down to the free tour, so we decided to go back to Bewley’s for coffee and a brownie with ice cream. Scott Bolohan - This is London. Saturday, May 16, 2009. I went and got some more Nutella, bagels, and a baguette because we ate the entire jar in a day. Whoops. We walked down to Hyde Park again, stopping along the way to get adapters a and went into Kensington Palace, from the 1600s but it was interesting to us because Diana lived there (Mary loves Diana). The place just seemed sorta old and not all that nice, and on top of that we didn't get to see where Diana lived. Fail. 11/5/09 Oslo, London.

Scott Bolohan - This is London. Friday, May 8, 2009. After breakfast and checking out we went to meet for the free tour. Our guide was awesome, an Irish dude named Daniel who was hilarious. At least to me. The Irish sense of humor really worked with me, very self-deprecating, not taking anything too seriously. Somehow, he even made a journalist getting shot by a guy on a moped with a machine gun unintentionally funny. I had the alfredo pasta with broccoli. It was one of the best meals of the trip....

Scott Bolohan - This is London. Thursday, May 14, 2009. We got up and went to Giraffe in my neighborhood where the Beatles filmed the restaurant scene in 'Help! It didn't look much like it did in the movie, but at least I had good pancakes and Moroccan mint tea. We went to Sainbury's because we'd been spending a ton on food.
