Thursday, 22 October 2009. For my portrait pictures I was asked to capture pictures in portrait format, I first looked at some other portraits; then i went out with Ethan and Kristopher and they we took some portraits. I thought that the movement in both of the pictures adds dramatic effect and makes them eyecatching, the lighting behing "Frogman" makes my front darker. Today was our first day practical with a camera, we first leaned the use of the buttons on the camera, we then discussed aperture and shutter speed. We got into groups, me Ethan and Kristopher were "Below The Belt". We were asked to take pictures of each other with variations of shutter speen and aperture f-stops. For my decisive moment photography we first looked at three famous decisive moment photographers; Robert Capa, Tony Vaccaro and Henri Cartier Bresson and their works. what made their shots great was that whatever was in the shot could only be shot once: E.g Death of a Loyalist Militiaman.
