Click here to navigate. Blue Knit Dress Affair – Butterick 6388. It is knit dress weather season! It was so much fun sewing with this fabric. The knit is very stable. So I had no stretching when working on curves and hems. This is a relatively quick make. I worked on it on Saturday and wore it to church on Sunday. I had pre-cut the material a couple of weeks ago. Or you may end up with a floppy collar…. So this knit dress is a win for me! Do you have a favorite fall knit dress pattern? Talk to you soon!

8220;Whether or not God has kissed your brow, you still have to work. Without learning and preparation, you won’t know how to harness the power of that kiss.”. Saturday, December 21, 2013. Creating A Skirt Pocket. Here is my first pattern draft with the pocket drawn out in red. I started my pocket 2" in from the side seam and, as you will see later in this post, I think it was not in far enough. I ended the pocket about 6 inches down and then drew in a 1/2 inch seam allowance. Muslin made up. As I me...

8220;Whether or not God has kissed your brow, you still have to work. Without learning and preparation, you won’t know how to harness the power of that kiss.”. Sunday, March 9, 2014. Steve is away in Atlanta for a bit so I am catching up on old movies. I watched Funny Face last night with Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. Look at the red tie belt on Astaire's trousers! Audrey Hepburn's style takes my breath away. Even when 'hanging out' the clothing is elegant. Oh, to be able to dress like that again.

8220;Whether or not God has kissed your brow, you still have to work. Without learning and preparation, you won’t know how to harness the power of that kiss.”. Wednesday, July 17, 2013. New Dress By Marci Tilton. It is hot in New England! It has some nice visual interest with a curvy front panel, inverted pleats in the front, pockets, box pleat in the back, a very wide band at the hem, and a stand up collar. HMM - busy! I've not abandoned my dress for my DD's shower. My pima cotton came in for the un...

http://thegreatvintagesewalong.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 20, 2011. Here it is on the dress form (sorry the picture is so blurry):. I still need to sew on the hooks and eyes and hem it. Coming back to life. Sorry Vintage vixens, but lost many weeks due to caring for incapacitated husband waiting for back operation. I think we're easing off of emergency mode and while he recuperates slowly, I'm hoping to get back to my Vintage Vogue Adele Simpson soon. Love your work, darlings! Chanel No. 6. Progress, at last! Thursday, March 17, 2011. I'm unthrill...

Sunday, January 30, 2011. Vogue 7044 - The coat-cape continues. There have been a few setbacks in my cape-coat-cape, I'm sad to report. First, I can't seem to get past the interfaced sleeves issue. Second, I threw away my scrap fabric. I cut out the center back facing piece. Genius. But I have managed to plod forward, despite all odds, and hope to have something pretty to show for it soon. I wrote the gory details, as well as a little tip on completing bound buttonholes, here. She did a wonderful job!

Suzy Furer Fitting the Moulage | sdBev Block Party

Suzy Furer Fitting the Moulage. January 4, 2017. January 2, 2017. A bit premature perhaps, I discussed. Lesson 7, Fitting and Trouble Shooting. In the previous post. Suzy doesn’t do an in-depth analysis of fit. She only points out items to correct that you might not realize. Such as, when the front neck gaps, the correction is making the back neck wider. Actual fit diagnoses and correction of the moulage is up to you. So how badly did it fit? Bit hard to see. I also pinned where my hand is resting:.
