On the maslive forums, i have started in AMherst trying to see if i can get some interesting town vs. Umass discussions going on. I think Timmyt is pretty fiery, but we shall see if it continues. It would also be interesting to try and see what people think about the Globe's coverage of the competing vigils a week ago.

This scrolling is what i hate the most about these news websites. It is easy to assume, and probably true, that the majority of people tend to flow to more mainstream sites. The CNN's and NYTimes of the internet. At least for direct news. There are still safeguards, I'm sure, at these sites, someone is still considering what is worthy for publication. It is the lower levels, where freedom can open and close doors.
