Friday, 25 February 2011. In order to improve the efficiency of the engine, we decided to perform an overhaul on the engine. Of course, it's a DIY overhaul. Bought 5 liters of diesel just to soak the engine parts for a few days (Update: It is still being soaked till today! It wasn't not an easy job as the cardon deposits were thick and refuses to come off no matter how hard we scrubbed for days. It's a really really old engine. The nuts and bolts are kept away. No, it's not cooking oil. It's diesel.

Thursday, 24 March 2011. As the chassis is the highest priority at the moment, every team member worked together to manafacture the jigs for the chassis. Plenty of sawing and drawing to ensure every part of the chassis fits precisely. A hole for the driver to sit inside. Fixing the chassis parts position by nailing small blocks of woods to hold the parts in place. Kee Chean marking the holes to be drilled on the engine holder bracket. Finalising the position of driver's seat. Back to work after dinner!

Tuesday, 28 June 2011. I apoligise for the lack of updates as it has been quite a busy period. However, rest assured that we are near completion and only left with some little issues. Everyone has been working together to help out the bodywork and it's turning out good. Meanwhile, the engine has been giving some problem but everything seems to be solved after opening up everything and some repairing work were made. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
