Second Helpings: October 2010
http://anniesfoodjournal.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 23, 2010. This month's theme at Kulinarya Cooking Club is Suman. Traditionally, it is glutinous rice cooked in coconut cream, wrapped in either banana or coconut leaves, steamed and served with sugar on the side. (Check out the other blogs below for their delicious take on this popular Filipino snack.) My version is called Sumang Hubad. Or Naked Suman, cooked without the banana leaves, using mini-cake molds instead. Glazed with salted caramel topping, these little sumans. Each month we ...

Cherry on a Cake: JUICING
http://cherryonacake.blogspot.com/2014/05/juicing.html
Sunday, May 18, 2014. Image Source: Healthy Food Team. After my son's wedding more than a year ago, headbands, fabric flowers and everything else were mere distractions. Truth was, I was becoming somewhat unhealthy. And concerned. My lipid profile wasn't at its best because my LDL rose. I know that we only live once. I'm not a cat. I doubt that I have nine lives. You see, I've become boring. Too boring to be an interesting cakes and cookies and yummy food blogger. That was why and when I stopped. It's sl...

Mesa Chronicles: June 2009
http://maidinmesa.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Confessions of the daily grind that are made interesting with humor and sprinkled with love. Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Alex got me a pearl necklace for our anniversary isn't it pretty. Everyone (including opie) is looking at the camara. Dad and Tim at the hotsprings. We have been doing some major cleaning to and are enjoying the clean house. I don't know when all the stuff we had to to fell behind but it did and it was so depressing to stew around in. After lightening our load everything feels better. Nat T...

Cherry on a Cake: YOGHURT PASSION FRUIT ICE POPS
http://cherryonacake.blogspot.com/2014/06/yoghurt-passion-fruit-ice-pops.html
Wednesday, June 25, 2014. YOGHURT PASSION FRUIT ICE POPS. When I blog food I feel very guilty because I find myself cooking up food secretly, putting an ear out for approaching footsteps and hiding the results from all family members until I can find the time to take photos. It feels almost criminal. Most of the time I succeed. No one noticed these ice pops in the freezer or the traces of evidence I left behind or even wondered at my super poker kitchen face. I'm such an actor. Do add much more honey tha...
