Breakfasts can be served in resident's rooms at a time of their choice, or at any time throughout the morning in the dining room. Lunch is the main meal of the day with a light supper in the evenings. Meals are served in the dining room, although residents can dine in their rooms if they prefer. Many of Senwick House's residents, before coming to live with us, lived locally in Dumfries and Galloway. Currently, residents come from as far a field as the Orkneys, Oban and the south of England. Most of our residents live with us permanently, though some come for short-term stays and holidays. Respite care is offered to give carers and families a break and we are always ready for emergency care and day-care admissions.

The gardens are enjoyed throughout the year, the residents taking great pleasure in the early spring flowers, the rhododendrons and azaleas in May, and then the bountiful array of summer flowers. The home has 12 en-suite bedrooms, all with marvellous views of the gardens and/or the sea. Each room is fitted with a 24-hour nurse call system and telephone and TV sockets.
