Llancayo Windmill Restoration Project - A Poem About Llancayo Windmill
http://www.llancayowindmill.com/millpoem.html
Myfanwy Haycock (1913-1963) - Born in Pontnewynydd, Gwent. Beyond the tufty- fingered hedge. Across the misty meadow. The old mill rises in a wedge. Like some old woman dozing there. Beside the drowsy river. With straggling straw-threads in her hair. She mumbles grumbles with a frown. At every drifting year-. With a rush there clatters down. She hears no more the taunting howls. Of twisted windy laughter. Nor heeds the haunting hoots of owls. And while she dumbly, glumly grieves. That she is grey and old.

Llancayo Windmill Restoration Project - The History of Llancayo Windmill
http://www.llancayowindmill.com/history.html
The mill was built by or for one Edward Berry. It was marked with a circle and the words "Old Windmill" in 1886 by the Ordinance Survey, so the tower has stood untended for well over a hundred years. A number of newspaper articles have been written about this mill, two by Fred Hando, a well-known Monmouthshire historian. There was also one by Roy Daunders. The following are relevant extracts from Hando's articles:. 2007 Llancayo Windmill - SEO Optimisation.
