Cloth of the month 2009. New cloth every month. Baby star with seed stitch edge. Monday, 6 April 2009. Cloth of the month April 2009. Cast on 15 stitches using 5 or 6mm needles, using 2 strands of cotton yarn. I like to use an 8ply cotton yarn with a finger weight crochet cotton yarn. This cloth is made up of 4 wedges, all exactly the same. Then the edge is sewn together, the threads are sewn in and the cloth is complete. :). Row 2: K across row. Cloth of the month 2009. New cloth every month. Baby star with seed stitch edge. Monday, 9 February 2009. To celebrate love day, I’ve designed a special cloth. Just because I want to, and because I can! Using 4mm needles and 100% worsted weight cotton yarn, cast on 12 stitches. Row 1 and all odd stitches: K until last 3 stitches, P2, K1. Row 2: K3, YO, K until last stitch, turn. Row 4: K3, YO, K until last 2 stitches, turn. Row 6: K3, YO, K until last 3 stitches, turn. Row 14: K3, K2tog, K to end of row.

I decided to deviate from my usual circular short row cloths this month, and I've made a octagonal cloth. It is similar to the average granny cloth to knit up. Very easy! I used a bamboo yarn that I picked up from Spotlight. It knits up looking like army camo! I used 4mm needles. Repeat until you have 45 stitches on your needles. Next row; knit row.*. 169; SewFunky 2009.

The pattern first published in "Tatting for Special Occasions Mats" now it is reprinted in "Mastering Tatting". I only made it so far before making the first mistake. (Grrrr).
