the desires of your heart: Guten Morgan Helga!
http://lessthan3desires.blogspot.com/2010/09/guten-morgan-helga.html
The desires of your heart. Saturday, September 18, 2010. It's been awhile since I've posted, but that is because this had primarily become a place to post pictures and adventures of our time living in Europe. Then I found that everyone wanted me to post the pics on Facebook instead, and I guess most just don't want to read the blogspot. Plus I can post more pics there more quickly anyway. We talked about work and life, biking in Bavaria (which I proclaimed to be the best in the world), and about church a...

the desires of your heart: Heidelberg
http://lessthan3desires.blogspot.com/2010/07/heidelberg.html
The desires of your heart. Thursday, July 22, 2010. On a tip from a coworker, we went to check out Heidelberg on Sunday. It was only a 2.5 hr drive north on a gorgeous day. It is supposedly America's favorite German town. And it certainly lived up to that reputation, if that is what it is, because it became our favorite. We arrived and took the funicular up the mountain to the castle. Anywho, here's some pics of one of the best romantic castles in Europe. People were everywhere, yet it didn't feel crowded.

the desires of your heart: March 2010
http://lessthan3desires.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
The desires of your heart. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. When we were in Copenhagen, we bought a little present for our soon to arrive grandson. And the day after we returned to Germany, we got the call that Mark and Beth were at the hospital, and Nolan was on the way. Of my own. Woohoo! Is he not absolutely adorable and precious? More precious than the Precious Moment in the pic with him. Just looking at him defines: "precious moment". Sunday, March 28, 2010. We went to Copenhagen for a Microsoft Summit an...

the desires of your heart: June 2010
http://lessthan3desires.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
The desires of your heart. Sunday, June 27, 2010. The Hills Are Alive. Even Marty broke out into this song and he doesn't even like The Sound of Music. Haha. On Saturday, we spent the day in the alps of southern Germany. First we went to Fussen, home of the castle that inspired Disney, but we didn't go there this time. Instead we checked out what was going on down in the center of the town. There was a parade that started with guys in plaid playing bagpipes, followed by a line of Morgan cars. We also adm...

http://lessthan3desires.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
The desires of your heart. Monday, May 31, 2010. Egypt Day 3 - Nile Cruise. We went on a city tour of Aswan. We saw the second biggest cathedral in Egypt, and this big mosque up on a hill overlooking the city. It was the first time I personally got to see inside a mosque. Here’s a shot of a typical building in Egypt. I’ve never seen so many incomplete buildings with rebar sticking out the top of pillars on the roof. I just liked the colors in the water of this shot. It reminds me of a Monet. We took a bo...

the desires of your heart: Berlin - Day 2
http://lessthan3desires.blogspot.com/2010/07/berlin-day-2.html
The desires of your heart. Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Berlin - Day 2. The next morning we went to the Reichstag early and walked around the spiral ramp up to the top of the glass dome. Great views of the city. Here I am at the top of the dome. It is open overhead and rain collects in the silver spout behind me. A view from the top of the dome down into the middle where you see the windows looking into the gallery where the parliament meetings are held. And a view of the river…. Next we met up for lunch wit...

the desires of your heart: April 2010
http://lessthan3desires.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
The desires of your heart. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Goo Goo Gah Gah. Know how you get all tongue tied when you start talking baby talk sometimes? Well, here's an example of how I stopped being able to even say the word hiccup correctly just because of the sound my little grandbaby boy was making. Haha. He's such a cutie, especially when he tries to help get a pacifier back in his mouth. In addition, the wedding of his momma and daddy this past Saturday was quite the event! Sunday, April 4, 2010. While ...

The only game item I've ever received that was better was when my son saved up alot in the game of Lineage II to buy me a crystal dagger. LOL! Dave and Dave and I went out to eat at this Shrooms place. pizza. not drugs! We hung out eating and talking and joking around&...

the desires of your heart: Biking Bavaria
http://lessthan3desires.blogspot.com/2010/07/biking-bavaria.html
The desires of your heart. Monday, July 19, 2010. There are hundreds of bike paths around Memmingen. We love it. These are scenes along one of our favorite routes. We took it Saturday on a 25 km trek across the countryside. See that forest ahead? We're going into the heart of it. This is my favorite part of our route. We continued our adventure through more woods, spotting several deer along the way. We arrived in the town of Kronburg, and these street signs serve as an excellent marker of where we were.
