Monday, February 8, 2010. Sometimes it really is too late. But wait a minute. . . I am looking into the mirror for the first time in many years without looking through glasses. What is it that strikes me the most? What are those pouches under my eyes? I don't remember them when I last wore contacts. Why didn't I get contacts when I was younger? When I didn't have those pouchy, wrinkly things under my eyes? Am I to be the first person who switches to contacts and looks OLDER? How much does an eye job cost?

And she left with hugs and tears in her eyes and I held my own at bay until I closed the door. She follows Maren precisely and even gets her torso to bend and her hands to move in just the same way.
